ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND SYMPOSIUM The Department of Geology, Udaipur was founded in June 1950 as the first post-graduate science department in Rajasthan. Alumni of this department have served and serving in various organization like GSI, ONGC, DMG, GWD, AMD, MECL, National Research Labs, Universities & Colleges, MNCs, Private entrepreneur etc. It will be worth to mention that 12 alumni/staff of the department have received National Mineral Award. The department has also received COSIST and SAP programme of the UGC and FIST of the DST. The aim of the present symposium is to provide a platform for active interaction of students to share their knowledge in the field of Geology. It will also motivate the young talent towards research and development. ABSTRACT All those who desire to participate in the symposium are invited to submit an extended abstract including illustrations, st photographs, etc., on or before 31 January, 2014. Abstract should not be exceed 1000 words and within one A4 size page, in MSWord format, Times New Roman, Font 12, Line spacing 1.5, The Title of the Abstract should be in Times New Roman, Font 14, Bold, Centered aligned, Following authors names, Affiliations and email of corresponding authors. Figures should accommodated on the same page. The margins of page: Top, Bottom and Right is 1 inch and left is 1.5 inch. LOCAL HOSPITALITY It is a pleasure to inform that all the registered participants will be provided with local hospitality such as university hostel accommodation, meals and local transport. Limited travel assistance (II class rail/bus fare) will be made available to two participants or group of two participants from each college or university departments. REGISTRATION All those who are willing to participate, should complete the attached registration form and send it to reach us on or before st 31 January, 2014.
