Narrre: Block: Date: CLIMOGRAPH UNIT: s^io The climate can be defined as the average amount of rainfall, and the average temperature in a region. The climate of a region affects the type of soil that is formed there, and the type of plants and animals that will ultimately end up inhabiting that region. When reading a climograph it is important to make sure you are reading the correct side of the graph. For instance, if you want to determine or chart the correct amount of rainfall in a month, you need to read the right side of the graph. Likewise, if you want to determine or chart the average temperature in a given month, you needs to look at the left side of the chart. - - Leftside: Average monthly temperature in t=c Indicate this with a RD dot Right Side: Average monthly in p=cm Indicate this with a BLU bar SAMPL CLIMOGRAPH: See page 2 - Prairie Region - Swift Current, Sask. s t = DC p = cm January -9 2 February -4 1 March -.
