Publication of the Proceedings Dedicated to the 70 th Anniversary of BAO Publications The meeting Non-Stable Universe: Energetic Resources, Activity Phenomena and Evolutionary Processes dedicated to the 70 th anniversary of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO) was be held on 19-23 September 2016 at National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory (BAO). A number invited and contributed talks were given by the outstanding scientists, astronomers having tight relations to BAO, representatives of regional countries with an involvement of BAO traditional research areas related to instability phenomena in the Universe, both observational and theoretical. The proceedings of the International Symposium is published by a prestigious international publishing company, Astronomical Society of the Pacific Conference Series (ASPCS). The proceedings was edited by Areg M. Mickaelian, Haik A. Harutyunian, and Elena H. Nikoghosyan. It is published by ASPCS Volume 511. The volume has 313 pages and consists of 4 sections: Introductory, Stars and Nebulae, Extragalactic Astronomy, Theory, Archaeoastronomy and Astronomy in Culture. The online version is available at ASPCS website at: http://www.aspbooks.org/a/volumes/table_of_contents/?book_id=580 All abstracts of the Proceeding are available in ADS system. The Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) is an American scientific and educational organization, founded in San Francisco on February 7, 1889. The ASP's goal is to promote public interest in and awareness of astronomy (and increase scientific literacy) through its publications, web site, and many educational and outreach programs.

Meetings & Schools ULTRAVIOLET SKY SURVEYS INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM Ultraviolet Sky Surveys International Symposium was held on 10-14 July at Tel Aviv University, Israel. The Symposium discussed lessons learned from past UV sky surveys, the status of on-going missions, and plans for future missions. The topics included both scientific and instrumentation issues, as well as technological challenges to facilitate the future missions. The sessions consisted of a few invited review talks and many more contributed papers. There were sessions on planetary systems, exoplanets and stellar astrophysics including stellar populations in galaxies and their subsystems, the interstellar and intergalactic matter, and time domain UV astrophysics. Avishay Gal-Yam also described the proposed mission ULTRASAT. A particularly interesting session was dedicated to a round table of experts that discussed small missions in the UV, including high-altitude balloons, sounding rocket experiments, cubesat missions, etc. From Armenia Dr. Areg Mickaelian, the Director of the Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory participated to the Symposium and gave oral presentation on Ultraviolet Properties of Markarian's Galaxies.
