Customization is never a problem but rather a challenge and a creative push that we take up with enthusiasm. t h e m a t e r i a l s The materials known as Acrylic Solid Surfaces are non porous and have a smooth appearance; they are made from acrylic polymers and aluminium trihydrate, which is extracted from bauxite ore. Corian, which is still the best known of the family, is the registered trademark of the material produced by DuPont since 1967, when the original patent was filed. After the patent expired and became available to all, more fabricators began their own production of Acr ylic Solid Surfaces, like LG with its Hi-Macs, Samsung with Staron, and many others, also in Italy. The competition, as always, has caused a general prices reduction, which are now affordable by a wider range of people since they are in line with other medium-high quality products and materials. As an acrylic solid surface we use DuPont Corian ; when explicitly requested by our customers in order to meet specific requirements, that is for particular designs and/or colours not available in DuPont Corian, we can propose the best alternative materials belonging to the solid surface family. We are always at disposal of ag ents, architects, designers, retailers and all the professionals who need to get deeper into technical details to define their projects and be inspired. A solid surface like Corian has unique features; it is highly perfor ming, easy to clean and allows to obtain apparently seamless surfaces, with no rims to collect dir t and moisture, making vir tually unlimited surfaces possible. It is available in different thicknesses and colours, including the translucent illumination series, perfect for backlighting and ther mofor mable.
