It is built of concrete with steel apertures. Traces of rendering on exterior for camouflage are visible. The structure contains 6 gunslits and 2 water spouts. In the centre on the interior it has a central concrete pole used as a ladder to reach the roof. WWII rifle shells are scattered on the surface around the post. Present Utilisation None Comments The interior is inaccessable since it is locked. The floor plan is consireably large for a beach post. Site

The ruts have a NNW orientation. They have an average width of 26cm and an average distance between the ruts of 80cm. The cart ruts are only visible at intervals since in some parts they are either covered by a very thin layer soil while in other parts they have been eroded away. The surrounding area is also highly quarried as testified by the large number of stones and spalls. Present Utilisation None Comments The section of the ruts is U-shaped, rather than V-shaped. This indicates that probably these ruts were common. Site

The structure making up the cistern lid has been plaster wilh deffun. The cistern was filled with water at the date of survey. Present Utilisation Water Cistern Comments The channelling system is mainly filled in, however the cistern still retains water. This feature is important because it shows past human activity in the area. Site

Only one hut survives as a whole since the roof of the second one has caved in. The surviving hut shows the remains of dents for the door. The 6 capping stone forming the roof are supported by a wooden beam. There is a cupboard/manger along the western wall. The collapsed hut still shows the remains of a manger on the façade, and the lintel of the nowadays blocked door. Quarrying marks are visible near the exterior wall of the enclosure. The entrance faces south. Its walls slant inwards. At approximately 10m to the south of the hut is an irregular shaped depression in the ground. It has an approximate diameter of 1m and reaches a maximum depth of 1.10m. Its walls have been plastered indicating water storage. On the interior the lintel is triangular has a date inscribed. It is not clear whether it is 1930 or 1980. However the date inscribed on the exterior face of the lintel reads 1929.It seems that the roof collapsed (Fsadni 1999: 57) and the corbelled ceiling was replaced by another one supported by stone slabs and a wooden beam.
