TO THE LEAGUE OF NATIOt^S _. ACTION COr V The Italian newspaper "La Stampa^-hno published news which w ill delight the parents of prisoners and missing soldiers of the War. According to the papers, the League made known during the October Session, the fact that there are s t i l l 30,000 prisoners in Siberia (of whom 8,800 are being repatriated weekly) and that 20,000 more w ill be repatriated via Trieste. 1 I beg respectfully to ask the League of Nations If there are any Italians amongst these thousands of prisoners and missing men. I am the father of cadet-offlcer (aspirante ufficiale) 129th Infantry Regiment, reported missing at S. Michele,(Rocce Rosse) on November 16th 1915. comrades in the trenches have assured me, however, that His he was taken prisoner on the 12th of that month and that they had seen him taken prisoner and led off into the enemy s territory. Trusting that the League of Nations w ill be so kind as to reply to my le tte r, giving me the news so ardently longed for concerning the prisoners and missing men, I beg to remain, (Signed) Enrico Mancinl. P.S. Kindly reply in Italian.
