Making Bubbles Sung to the tune of I ve Been Working on the Railroad The bubble wand is something solid, With one end that is round. The bubble wand is big and yellow. It feels smooth is what I found. Wave the wand and make a bubble, A bubble filled with air. The air s a gas that takes the shape of Bubbles everywhere Look inside the jar, its filled with liquid soap, The soap used to blow bubbles. The liquid takes the shape of the jar its filling up, You can see that when you pour it in. Dip the wand in the soap, get ready, To move it to and fro. Wave it through the air so gently, And watch a bubble grow. The Crayon Sung to the tune of Camptown Races

Take solid wax and heat it up. Heat it! Heat it! It melts into a liquid wax That s used to make a crayon. Heating causes change. Yes, heating causes change. Heating causes wax to melt, So we can make a crayon. Mix liquid wax with powdered paint. Mix it! Mix it! Now we have colored wax, The next step to a crayon. Mixing causes change. Yes, mixing causes change. Mix liquid wax and powdered paint To give the crayon color. Now pour this wax into a mold. Cool it! Cool it! When it is cool, just pop it out Then you have a crayon. Cooling causes change. Yes, cooling causes change. Cooling made the wax get hard, Now we can use the crayon. Living Things Sung to the tune of Found a Peanut

Plants are living things. So are animals. So are people, yes we know. Living things need food and water. Living things all change and grow. Plants have roots that take in water. Leaves take in sunlight, yes we know. Plants use sunlight, air and water. To make the food they need to grow. All the animals need air and water. They need food, yes that we know. They need the food, the air, the water, To stay alive so they can grow. So look around you and see what s living. Can you tell me, I d like to know. All my friends, the trees and rabbits, Are alive, they change and grow. Environments Sung to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb A forest is an environment With big tall trees

And lots of plants. A forest is an environment For different animals. A desert is an environment That s very hot And very dry. A desert is an environment Where prickly cactus grow. An ocean is an environment Where fish and whales Swim all around. An ocean is an environment That s filled with salty water. Environments are all around They re different And what I have found Is animals and plants all live In these environments. Good Partners Sung to the tune of Frere Jacques Plants and animals, Are good partners,

Plants can be a shelter, For animals to live in. Plants and animals, Are good partners, Feathers, furs and parts of plants, Can be used to build a nest. Plants and animals, Are good partners, An egret helps a rhino, By eating bugs that hurt him. All Kinds of Weather Sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle There s all kinds of weather and Of that I m really sure. Just open up a window Or peek out an open door.

If the tree branch sways a lot, There must be some wind. Get your kite already, Cause it s going for a spin. Check the outdoor temperature, And if its high you know, The air will feel real warm, And it most likely will not snow. If the clouds come rolling in, And begins to darken. You can count on rain to start, The question is just - when. Can I Go Outside and Play Sung to the tune of Oh Susannah In winter it gets very cold, And sometimes there is snow. I need to wear a hat and gloves, And then I m ready to go. In the spring I see the flowers bloom, And the temperature is warm. When I play outside I look out for clouds, There could be a sudden storm.

Each season s weather changes day to day, Is it wet or dry? Are there clouds or sun? Can I go outside and play? In the summertime the weather s hot, And the sun is very bright. To cool off as I take a swim, And then I feel just right. In the fall the air is crisp and cool, And the leaves fall to the ground. I help my brother rake up them up. And make a great big mound. Each season s weather changes day to day, Is it wet or dry? Are there clouds or sun? Can I go outside and play?
