ARTIST'S STATEMENT My thesis show is a sharing of selected personal experiences expressed in f r a g ile temporary assemblages, mu I t i -sensory in character. It is 'my hope that w hile taking part ip this presentation, the p a r tic i pant w ill feel invited to enter beyond the surface level of his own l i f e experience and also re a lize that without the in it ia l intent ( i. e., the experience and people upon which this show is centered) the individual pieces of this show are life le s s shells. The m aterials used fo r these commemoratives are m aterials I had on hand; some re la te to the persons or circumstances, some don't. There was no formal choice rnade in this regardj nor in the way the structures were put together. Al I- the care.and s e n s itiv ity that I p u t.in to this show is because of the people and events I revere and want to celebrate and share.. Thus, I would hope that my show would be experienced in that context rather than w ithin a more tra d itio n a l formal fram e-. work.
