CUR260 The Natural World Extra Credit Video Schedule - Fall All videos will be shown in Olin Hall Room 220 at the times indicated on the calendar below. Each evening s presentation is approximately one hour long, unless noted otherwise. To see a video, go to the physics tutors room (Olin 216) and ask the tutor to start the video in room 220. Students who want extra credit for watching any of these videos must submit a 1-2 page paper, summarizing the video and briefly relating it to our class readings/discussions. The paper must be submitted prior to the next scheduled in-class exam, and credit will be counted toward that exam. From November 9-, there will be a Gustavus theater production of "An Experiment with an Air Pump" by Shelagh Stephenson. The play looks at issues including medical ethics and changing gender roles in society (and in the world of science in particular). Attending the play and writing a similar summary paper relating it to our class discussions may also receive extra credit.
