ASX ANNOUNCEMENT 22 August 2013 General Mining Corporation ABN: 95 125 721 075 Hits of up to 123gpt show Chesterfield emerging as a high grade gold project Prospects are ideally located close to existing mills in WA s Murchison region ASX Code: GMM Quoted Securities: 107,441,529 shares 17,406,901 options Total Issued Capital: 107,441,529 shares 52,056,901 options Share Price: 4.0 cents per share Market Capitalisation: AUD$4.3M Board of Directors Mr Michael Wright Chairman Mr Craig Readhead Non executive Director Mr Michael Fotios Non executive Director HIGHLIGHTS Diamond drilling at the Chesterfield Gold Project in WA has returned extremely high-grade results from the Dorothy prospect. Visible gold observed in shear zone hosted quartz vein mineralisation Significant intercepts include: Dorothy 1.00m @ 123.3 g/t Au from 73.3m, 1.75m @ 13.83 g/t Au from 52.35m Diamond drilling will now target the down-dip and plunge extensions of mineralisation below 50m. Further diamond drilling is planned to determine the extent of the existing high-grade vein and to test the depth extent of high-grade mineralisation immediately to the east Diamond drilling to start shortly at Chesterfield s Marguaritta prospect Assays awaited on ~2m down hole-quartz vein intercept in final diamond hole Mr Bob Wanless Non executive Director Joint Company Secretary Ms Karen Brown Mr Lindsay Colless www.generalmining.com Address: 65 Burswood Road Burswood WA 6100 General Mining Corporation (ASX: GMM) is pleased to announce that diamond drilling at its Chesterfield Gold Project in WA has returned numerous high-grade intersections of up to 123g/t. The results confirm that Chesterfield, which is 50km north-west of Meekatharra and 100 per cent-owned by General Mining, has strong potential for high-grade vein-hosted gold mineralization. Diamond and Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling has confirmed multiple mineralised structures located on mafic/sediment lithological contacts and also hosted within mafic units. Telephone: 08 9227 1186 Facsimile: 08 9227 8178 1

The latest results, which come from the Dorothy prospect at Chesterfield, targeted mineralisation associated with the main workings. These appear to be hosted within a shear zone located on the contact between mafic volcanics and sediments. These results follow those from earlier RC drilling, which returned hits such as 4m at 28.8gpt from 21m, including 2m at 53.9gpt, 5m at 5.4gpt from 38m, including 1m at 21.6gpt and 4m at 33.81gpt, including 2m at 61.3gpt The latest high-grade mineralisation was intersected down-dip of the mineralisation intersected in this earlier RC drilling and consists of a quartz vein and associated silica alteration located at the mafic sediment contact (see figure 4). High-grade mineralisation intersected by previous RC drilling about 60m east of the Dorothy mineralisation hosted by veining within mafic volcanics is yet to be tested down dip with diamond drilling. Further sampling is being completed immediately beneath the high-grade vein in CHERCD30, where low-grade gold mineralisation has been logged and partially sampled with sheared mafic rocks. Dorothy sits about 2km along strike from Marguaritta. Drilling at Marguaritta has returned high-grade results such as 5m at 2.73gpt from 13m and 5m at 5.9gpt from 38m, including 2m at 12.2gpt. Numerous targets identified by RC drilling and soil sampling have been tested sporadically over the 2km strike length between Marguaritta and Dorothy. Marguaritta itself has been intersected over 950m from Marguaritta North to Marguaritta South and remains open to the north and south. Of significance at Chesterfield is the presence of mineralisation in a number of different rock types and structural positions within the stratigraphic sequence. At Dorothy, additional diamond drill holes are planned to further test the mineralisation beneath the weathered zone and provide valuable information with respect to the geometry, grade and nature of the primary mineralisation. General Mining Chairman Michael Wright said the latest results provided more firm evidence that Chesterfield has strong potential to host substantial high-grade resources. There is clearly the potential for a larger high-grade deposit between Dorothy and Marguaritta, Mr. Wright said. Ongoing drilling will be aimed at testing for extensions to underpin a significant resource and therefore make Chesterfield a valuable source of highgrade ore in an area which already hosts several processing plants.
