4 Answer all questions. 1. The sources of background radiation in a part of the U.K. are shown in the pie chart below. They save money in two ways: they reduce the number of units of electricity bought from the National Grid, saving 16 p per unit; in addition, the government pays a feed-in tariff of 14 p for every unit of electricity generated. A householder spends 7 500 fitting solar panels to their roof. The mean power output is 3 kw and they generate 3 900 units (kwh) in one year (52 weeks). The householder uses all of these units.
