ADMISSION Direct admission form the (old) bachelor degree in Physics and Astrophysics as well as from the (new) Astrophysics curriculum of the Physics degree Direct admission form the Physics curriculum of the Physics degree as long as 12 astrophysics or astronomy credits have been covered or validation of the required knowledge by the Astronomy Professor

The work during the thesis project will give you the possibility to foresee the world of research It will be the first time in which you ll do a study/work with no textbook You ll be given a problem and you ll look for a solution (which may not exist) It will clearly prepare you for your future job in the industry or in the field of research From the laboratory point of view, a first insight will be given by the Astrophysics laboratory course

Our students can have admission to the Sapienza PhD programs in: Physics Astronomy Accelerator physics IRAP-PhD The Rome Astronomy PhD (Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space science) is one of the three (besides the one in Bologna and Padova) in Italy: Sapienza + Tor Vergata + INAF 11 positions (with grant) The roman area is rich of astrophysics institutes: Roma 1, Roma 2, Roma 3, INAF-OAR, INAF-IAPS, ESA-ESRIN, CNR, ASI, PhD abroad: our students have always got excellent positions abroad but the international collaborations are numerous Aerospace industry is largely present in Lazio
