3. How to move in Trento and Innsbruck 3.1 Trento The first two day of the TIQIT will be held at the Polo Scientifico Tecnologico F. Ferrari (also known as Povo 1) at number 15, Via Sommarive. While on the first day a member of the local committee will guide the non Trento based participants to the University on the second day the participants will have to move to the university alone. To reach Povo 1 the easiest way is by bus, using the Line 5, or with the local train. Bus tickets will be provided to participants from outside Trento. 3.1.1 By bus City buses that reach the venue depart regularly from the bus stop just outside Trento s central train station. There are two lines you can take: Line 5\ is the most direct mode of public transport to the venue; its route begins at the stop just outside the train station and takes it to the "Polo Scientifico Tecnologico Fabio Ferrari" stop, which is directly in front of your destination. This is also the last stop the 5\ makes. Line 5 is slightly less direct but more regular (the 5\ does not run all day!). It also departs from the train station; the closest stop it makes to the venue is named "Povo Facoltà Scienze". To get to the venue from here, head past the roundabout and continue straight ahead along Via Sommarive as shown below. The total transit time for both lines is about 23 minutes. A city bus ticket (which is valid for 70 minutes) costs 1.20 euros and can be bought within the train station, from automatic vendors at the bus stop outside the station, or at many supermarkets or tobacco shops. Bus tickets cannot be purchased on board the bus!

3.2 Innsbruck 9 Figure 3.1: walking directions from the bus stop after taking line 5 3.1.2 By train Regional trains departing from Trento s central station with destination Bassano del Grappa or Borgo Valsugana Est stop at the Povo-Mesiano station. From here, the venue can be reached by passing beneath the train tracks using the staircase (to the right when getting of the train) and walking up Via Sommarive following the (uphill!) route shown in the image below. Figure 3.2: Route from the Povo-Mesiano train station to the venue Trains depart from the central station once an hour at five minutes past the hour and arrive at the Povo-Mesiano station about 16 minutes later. City bus tickets (both single and daily) can be used to ride the train. 3.2 Innsbruck At Innsbruck the flixbus will leave the participants at the IQOQI, where they will have to keep their luggage. After the visit to the research facility the bus line "O" will be taken in

3.3 Useful links 10 order to reach the Youth Hostel. The same line will be taken after the check-in at the hostel to move to the Stiftskeller for the dinner. The return from the Stiftskeller is possible using the line "O" or the line "N2", depending on the time of the return, which can be decided by each participant at the end of the dinner. It must be noticed that the bus runs even at late night, however the line will make a different route. As the hostel is not to far away (less than 3 km) the participant could choose to go on foot. On Friday the group will leave the hostel after the check-out and using the line "O" it will arrive at the University. The organising committee will provide the bus ticket, which lasts 24h, for every participant. 3.3 Useful links Trento bus system Regional trains Innsbruck bus system
