There are two parts to this paper (Geography and History). Answer both parts, beginning each part on a separate piece of paper. 4. The paper will be marked out of 60. The Geography part is worth 30 marks and the History paper is worth 30 marks. Marks available are shown in square brackets [ ]. 5. A summary of marks and time available for the various sections is shown overleaf.

PART 1 GEOGRAPHY Section A (Map skills) Answer all parts of the question in this section. The section is worth 15 marks and the recommended time for the section is 15 minutes. 1. Study the map extract for La Ferme Reservoir, Mauritius. The scale is 1:25 000. a) (i) Height above sea level is shown by contour lines. Coasts a) Study Photograph A (Insert) which shows an area of coastline. (i) Identify the coastal landform shown by Photograph A.
