Lunations and Long-term Aspects This month the Sun is transiting your 9th House of higher learning, legal matters, longdistance travel, beliefs and expectations, which will bring a certain degree of emphasis to this part of your life. The Full Moon occurs on June 7 in Sagittarius, your 3rd House of neighbors, thoughts, ideas, and short journeys. Typically a Full Moon heralds a culmination; not necessarily an ending, but perhaps shifting to a different phase. For example, you may have reached a certain milestone in the development of an idea and are ready to progress to the next stage. If your birthday falls within a day or so of October 10th, you will notice its effects even more. There are some interesting aspects associated with this lunation which will further color its influence, some of which will be in effect for the entire summer. One that will only be in effect for a few days, even though it will leave its imprint on the Full Moon, is a T- square created by Saturn, who's in Virgo, between the Sun and Moon. Virgo is your 12th House of spirituality, dreams, transcendence, enlightenment, confinement, hidden enemies, and all sorts of woo-woo type stuff and Saturn is all about structure, restrictions, boundaries, responsibility, authority and delays. In other words, Saturn prods us to get serious about whatever he contacts, so this lunation is going to be working on a combination of your thoughts, beliefs, and spiritual awareness or some other 12th House element. Pluto, who's in your 4th House of home environment stirring things up there is trining that Mars/Venus conjunction in Taurus, your 8th House of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, and shared resources. A trine is a positive flow of energy so in theory this should be a favorable influence. The implication is that you'll be giving some deep consideration regarding something related to your home life that will change you in some way. Given that Mars and Venus are in conjunction in your 8th House of sex certainly gives it an interesting spin, but I'll leave you to figure out whether or not that fits your situation. Venus also relates to finances and in the 8th House, which also includes debt, this could even relate to a mortgage, refinancing your home, and things like that as well. The trine implies if you are considering such an action that it will proceed in a favorable manner. One of the most interesting, unusual, and long-term aspects out there for the Full Moon, New Moon, and most the summer is a triple conjunction or stellium between Jupiter, Neptune, and the asteroid, Chiron. This trio is hanging out in Aquarius, your 5th House of ego, children, romance, entertainment, and speculation. This grouping is really heavy in the woo-woo department and bears watching for a variety of reasons. First of all, putting Jupiter and Neptune together is interesting in itself. Jupiter relates to our beliefs, ethics, and also tends to expand whatever he contacts; Neptune is the mother of all illusions. Illusions are not in and of themselves bad or good, they just aren't real or what they seem. They can be used to inspire or they can be used to deceive. 2
A good example of something ruled by Neptune is photography and the cinema. What you're looking at represents something real, but it isn't. However, it's the content and intent that drives whether it's positive or negative. You put this together with Jupiter's expansion and you can have incredible inspiration or massive delusions. Chiron, the wounded healer, can be either about an injury, whether it's physical, mental, emotional or even financial or conversely about healing. So you have a massive, illusionary influence similar to wearing rose-colored glasses that can hurt or heal you in some way. Tie that in with your children, romantic interests, your ego or speculations and you can see how that could manifest, probably by simply fogging your view and distorting reality in a way that will not have a positive outcome. It could also be inspiring or tremendously entertaining, but the main point is to be aware that you might not be seeing reality in this part of your life during this transit. It will dissipate late summer, but reconvene in the December/January timeframe. Also note that on a global level, this is a perfect fit for the swine flu pandemic scare we had in May. It's unusual enough to have a triple conjunction, but this one has all three entities in the same degree, strengthening it considerably. Furthermore, Uranus is a semi-sextile away in neighboring Pisces, which will throw some element of surprise, rebellion, or disruption in that direction from your 6th House of work and health; no telling how that might play out. Mercury is in the game as well from your 8th House of sex, death, and taxes, forming an unsavory square that implies a life-changing insight or bit of news will conflict with any illusions in some way, perhaps as a rude awakening. You'll have to take it from there and figure out how it will apply to you. Basically if you're entertaining any self-delusions regarding yourself, children, or romantic interests, they probably won't make it past the Full Moon. The New Moon on the 22nd is in Cancer, your 10th House of career and reputation, opposite good ol' Pluto in Capricorn. This could very well bring an interesting situation, particularly if your birthday is right around September 24. This has all the makings for a new turn relative to your career that is going to effect a tug-o-war with your homelife in some way. It could serve as a catalyst to expose something that requires resolution at home, there may be some old baggage related to home that will hold you back from advancing your career or public image, or something else along those lines. That Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron stellium is still holding out those rose-colored glasses with Uranus stirring things up at work in an annoying way, perhaps keeping you tied to your job when you'd rather be off daydreaming or doing something much more entertaining with your kids or lover. By this time that Mars/Venus conjunction is in the same degree, or partile as they say in astrologese, and the two of them are in trine with Saturn, which has all the makings for increasing your commitment to a relationships from a deep, spiritual level. If you haven't found your soul mate, this could even help facilitate something very cool like that. On a more superficial note, this is not the time to ignore the practice of safe sex, unless you're prepared for the consequences. 3
Short-term and Daily Aspects The month starts out on June 2 with Venus trining that Jupiter/Neptune/Chiron combo from your 7th House of relationships. This certainly implies the possibility of a romantic interest coming your way, but this is where you need to start repeating your mantra of "it might only be an illusion." If it seems too good to be true it probably is, so proceed carefully. On the 3rd Mars trines Pluto, a combination that is not always friendly. Mars is about aggression and Pluto is about power, so don't take any foolish chances today, especially around your home. On June 5th your beliefs or lack thereof will be challenged, forcing you to consider introducing more structure in your spiritual life. You may decide it's time to turn to meditation (or medication, for that matter) or this could also represent something like being thrown in jail for not paying all those outstanding parking tickets. No kidding, the possibilities are that diverse, but if there's anything amiss with your beliefs you can expect it to be brought to your attention. Some sort of transformation is on the agenda for the 6th, hopefully not as a result of spending the night in the slammer. The Full Moon occurs on the 7th, then on the 8th it looks very promising for doing something to happen at home that will have a lasting, positive influence on you. On June 9th an unexpected opportunity at work will come along that could have lasting implications or even involve an investment. Just make sure you're not wearing those rose-colored glasses at the time. The next day expect some news or ideas to surface that could relate to that illusion you've been toting around. At least on the 13th Mercury goes into Gemini, which will quicken your thought processes a bit and make more logic available as you try to sort things out. A change of course related to your expectations of your home life is likely on the 15th and on the 17th there will more action relative to that illusions or fantasies that should help you see them in the bright light of day. Something at work will break loose at this time as well, perhaps exposing a conflict between your job and your core beliefs, probably as they relate to ethics. The Sun goes into Cancer, your 10th House of career and reputation, on the 20th, shifting attention to that area of your life. Venus and Mars get together on the 21st. This could be a very significant time for you since this particular aspect tends to drive us to find a significant other if we don't already have one. If you do, you'll want to be around them at this time and if you don't you'll be on the prowl looking for one. Libras love to be in a relationship so this will be something you'll feel quite strongly, particularly since Venus is your Sign Ruler. The New Moon comes along on the 22nd, bringing something new into your life that affects your public image or status. Be careful again on the 23rd by not taking any unnecessary chances, then on the 26th expect to be confronting your beliefs again like you did on the 5th, though at this time it will be news or data that gets our attention. Again, your beliefs and spirituality are likely candidates for review. 4
This promises to be an interesting month with a variety of possibilities. It will be heavy on the mental and emotional side with the potential for a variety of happenings that have a lasting effect on you. Finding a partner is a possibility, if you're looking for one. I can tell that Mars/Venus get-together out there is working due to the sudden increase I've seen in requests for compatibility reports. If that's on your to-do list for the year, now is the time to get to it.
