: Welcome to, CJ. Summer s just around the corner, what are you most looking forward to? CJ: Traveling to Asia! m headed to Thailand this summer for a few weeks to visit my best friend Elle. She s a full time chef (naturally would travel 22 hours for her amazing meals) but also to explore the beautiful islands in Thailand. Hopefully ll be able to squeeze in a few Photoshoots while m out there! : What s on your current playlist? CJ: m obsessed with this song called stir fry by igos. t focuses on the kitchen wrists flickin like it s stir fry and maybe you can tell m kind of a foodie. : Tell us a little bit about your career. What s the greatest impact it s had on your life? CJ: odeling has opened so many doors for me, it s been difficult to navigate what is a good move for my career vs what actually want from life. Since moving out to A ve been in Sports llustrated, axim, Q, H, Esquire Serbia, and Vogue Korea. Shot two water campaigns and had two Billboards! Designing clothing for my athleisure line Neon Beige and launching my own brand has been anything but easy. But it taught me how to be a strong woman and when to put my little foot down and make things happen. Owning a company has been my greatest education.
: f you weren t modeling, what would you choose as a career? CJ: was thinking about this the other day. f had the patience for school would want to be a lawyer; m great at writing contracts and getting out of traffic tickets. But honestly, would make an amazing private detective someone tell me how to do that! : What were some of your biggest goals growing up? CJ: y mom, Autumn ewis, had me at 19 years old! She is the most patient and amazing woman know. rowing up, had the utmost respect for her and my goal was always to be a good kind-hearted person and of course make her proud; and one day, spoil my mother rotten for everything she has sacrificed for me.
: Do you have any tips for girls trying to make it in the modeling business? CJ: KEEP YOU COTHES ON! Too many people told me wouldn t be successful because wasn t tall enough. Countless times ve been told eal super models shoot artistic nudes and implied but they don t STAT their modeling career with nudes. started in catalogue modeling, earned enough money to live, off wearing tons of clothes. Don t ever let someone tell you that you can t succeed without going against your morals. : What s the greatest gift you ve ever been given? CJ: The gift of patience, haha! : What s dating like as a model? You must get a ton of Ds asking to take you out. CJ: Hah. Pretty awkward. Sometimes think m at a business meeting but find out m actually on a date. : When it comes to matters of the heart, what s the number one quality you look for in a man? CJ: oyalty.
: What s your go-to move to let a guy know you like him? CJ: ll give him a little kiss on the cheek. : odels are always on the go. What does your morning routine look like? CJ: Hitting snooze at least twice, posting to my nstagram before get out of bed, coffee breakfast, and a steamy shower with essential oils. egardless of having hair and makeup on set, always like to show up looking decent enough to shoot. So always have a little bit of makeup and some messy beach girls on before leave the house. : What are some of your interests outside of modeling? CJ: ve always loved comedy. When m in os Angeles and have the time like to do stand up comedy and open mics with a group of all female comics called pretty funny women. : Any particularly interesting projects coming up? CJ: ve been filming for a movie called f She Screams where play a pretty nasty demon! y friend Stephen arnett is directing, and this is going to be his second feature film!
