Implementation Status and Key Decisions Implementation status has been assessed based on findings of regular implementation monitoring meetings between the Bank Task Team and the Government Team. The project is in early implementation. Overall, the project implementation is progressing reasonably well and additional disbursement amount of about US$8.180 million is expected by June 30, 2016. Procurement processes critical to the implementation and disbursement performance are completed, in particular for consulting services (e.g. silo design and construction supervision; development of a food policy research program; distribution of domestic silo and beneficiary training) and works (production of household silos). In fact, the Design and Supervision Consultants Contract has been signed and the consultant M/S Gerico of France has started mission in February 01, 2016. Two other major contracts are expected to be signed in April 2016: (i) Consultants contract for Food Policy Research; and (ii) Contract for service provider for distribution and training of household silos. Except the sites at Barisal and Dhaka, the preparatory works (site development, boundary wall and site office building) required for construction of modern grain storage silo facilities at 8 sites are progressing satisfactorily and expected to be completed within the extended completion dates. The prequalification of contractors for construction of modern grain storage facilities at 8 sites is progressing satisfactorily. The Project Management Unit is expected to submit the list of prequalified contractors for Bank s comments/approval by end of April 2016. 4/22/2016 Page 2 of 8
