Dr. Marco Baldi Curriculum Vitae et Studiorum October 30, 2013 Personal Data: Name: Marco Surname: Baldi Date of birth: January 4, 1980 Place of birth: Bologna (Italy) Citizenship: Italian Address: c/o Dipartimento di Fisica e Astronomia Viale B. Pichat 6/2 I-40127 Bologna - Italyy E-mail: marco.baldi5@unibo.it website: www.marcobaldi.it Present Status At present I live in Bologna where I moved in November 2012 after a long period of study and work in Germany, during which I obtained a PhD in Astronomy at the Max-Planck-Institute for Astrophysics in Garching in March 2009, under the supervision of Prof. Simon D. M. White. After that, I have been working as a Post-Doc at the Heidelberg University and at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. I presently hold a Marie Curie Post-Doc Fellowship at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Alma Mater University in Bologna, within the Cosmology research group led by Prof. Lauro Moscardini. My research interests are mainly related to the nature and phenomenology of dark energy, in particular in relation to its possible interactions with other fluids in the Universe, and to its impact on structure formation. More specifically, my present work consists on designing and using suitable N-body algorithms to investigate the effects of generalized dark energy models on linear and nonlinear structure formation processes. I am a member of the Euclid collaboration in the Theory and Cosmological Simulations Science Working Groups and in the Galaxy Clustering Validation Work Package of the Science Ground Segment. Within the Comological Simulations Science Working Group I hold the role of Coordinator for the development of numerical tools for non-standard cosmological models. Education and research activities November 2012 - Present Marie-Curie Fellow at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the Alma Mater University of Bologna, working in the group of Prof. Lauro Moscardini.
