The Gators are currently conducting a research study into political assassinations, using criteria set forth by the Grand Dame of astrology Ivy G. Jacobson. This study is in its preliminary stages, but with major developments on the international scene, we now offer a delineation of a political assassination using Ivy s criteria and methods. Ivy did not use modern rulers to determine cusp or planetary rulers. We will continue in that vein. There is also debate among astrologers as to how long an Ingress chart is good for. Ivy said 90 days, so we will follow her lead on that matter also. On December 19 th 2016, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andre Karlov was shot dead by an off-duty police officer in Ankara, Turkey. He was shouting Allah Akbar and calling for jihad, which testifies to the religious fanaticism behind his actions. According to Ivy, we must first look to the Libra Ingress chart for Moscow, Russia.
First we look to the 10 th house. The 10 th represents the government and those who lead it. It could also represent famous persons in the country. Ruled by Sagittarius, the dispositor of the 10 th is Jupiter who appears in the 7 th house of open enemies of the nation. So, the 10 th house ruler, is in the enemy s house. Sagittarius through its affiliation with Jupiter, rules religion, the law, long distance travel, and international communication. Religion obviously had a major role in this assassination, and international communication is what ambassadors do. Russia s ambassador was far from Moscow when this event took place. This speaks to the validity of the chart. The aspects of Jupiter are a conjunction with the Sun,
Kings and Presidents, in the 7 th house open enemies of the state, a square to Mars (10 th ), and a partile square to the Arabic Part of Death (5 th ). Looking at which planets are in the 10 th, we find only Mars in Sagittarius therein. The aspects of Mars are an opposition with the Moon (4 th ), square to Jupiter(7 th ) aforementioned, and an opposition to the Arabic Part of Death (5 th ), with the 5 th house representing Kings, leaders, and ambassadors. Having a malefic, in this case Mars, appearing in the 10 th would be considered a threat to those represented by the 10 th, Kings, etc. After delineating the 10 th house, Ivy has us look to the Part of Death, to see how it is acting in this chart. We find it in the 5 th house in the sign of Cancer, thus connecting it with the 4 th house Moon in Gemini. The 4 th house representing the people. The 5 th house is important because it is the 8 th house from the 10 th, and focuses on what we could expect to happen. The Part of Death is squaring the Sun (7 th ), trining Venus (7 th ), and trining Neptune (1 st ). The opposition to Mars and the square to Jupiter have already been mentioned. Next we look to Neptune, the planet of sorrow. Appearing in the 1 st house, which is Russia itself, disposited by the cusp ruler Saturn(9 th ). Aspects involving Neptune are a small separation 57 square to Saturn (9 th ) and an opposition to the New Moon and Solar Eclipse at 9 degrees Virgo. As mentioned before, a trine to the Part of Death (5 th ). Once again the 9 th house is drawn into the chart not only because of religion, but the assassin was a Turkish
police officer, and with Saturn there, a clear picture is formed. Neptune square Saturn brings sorrow indeed. Lastly, we look to the Moon. Posited in the 4 th house and ruled by Mercury which is making a station direct in the 7 th house. The Moon s aspects are a sextile with Uranus (1 st ), and a quincunx to the Part of Fortune found in the 8 th. Ivy taught that the quincunx was a death aspect. The Moon is also squaring the last Lunar eclipse. This chart gives us a clear picture of what Moscow was faced with at the Libra Ingress, and how it all played out on an international level. At the base of Ivy s work, she was looking for connections by position and or aspect at the 10 th house, the 8 th house and the 5 th. Because of aspects and positions of rulers, the 1 st and the 9 th also play a huge part in the story of the chart, which has what Ivy sought in abundance. The Libra Ingress for Washington DC is also indicative of death, and sorrow, but not assassination. The reason for this according to Ivy is that a benefic is involved in the Washington chart that we do not find in the Moscow chart.
The ruler of the 10 th is the Sun, and we find Sol in the 11 th, which is the Congress. Applying to Jupiter, the Greater Benefic, and having Venus the Lesser Benefic in the 12 th house gives this indicator of death of a prominent statesmen, but not by a violent means. Neptune the planet of sorrow is in the 4 th, the people of the nation shall mourn at this passing. On December 8, 2016 beloved statesman and astronaut John Glenn passed away. He was a true pioneer, and a two-term United States Senator from Ohio. Respected and admired by all, not only for his military service, but also for his service to his country as a Senator. returned to space in 1998, making him the oldest man to fly in space. At the Libra Ingress, Mercury was making a station direct in the 10 th house. Project Mercury and the Mercury Spacecraft Program first put this pioneer into space.
