College of ngineering, Amrvti, Indi Densities nd ultrsonic speed of liquids Gsoline nd Kerosene were tken in different volume concentrtions from 5%, 10%, nd 95% t different tempertures 298.15K to 303.15K hving difference of 5K. Using this dt excess prmeters of excess ibtic compressibility ( ), excess molr volume ( V ) nd excess free length ( f ) hs been clculted. These prmeters re used to discuss the moleculr interctions between the component molecules nd the excess functions re found to be sensitive to the nture nd extent of the interctions tking plce in these binry mixtures. Keywords: Ultrsonic Prmeters, Moleculr Interction And Binry iquid Mixtures. I. INTRODUCTION Knowledge of coustic properties revels the presence of moleculr interctions between the component molecules in the multi-component liquid systems. This intermoleculr interction plys n importnt role in the development of moleculr sciences. A lrge number of studies hve been me on the moleculr interction in liquid systems by vrious physicl methods like Dielectric constnt 1-3, Infrred, Rmn effect, ultr violet nd ultrsonic method 4-10. In recent yers ultrsonic technique hs become powerful tool in providing informtion regrding the moleculr behviour of liquids nd solids owing to its bility of chrcterizing physiochemicl behviour of the medium. The present investigtion dels with the study of moleculr interction in binry liquid mixtures. A survey of literture 11-21 indictes tht ibtic compressibility, free length nd molr volume nd there excess vlues re useful in understnding the intermoleculr interctions between the molecules in binry mixtures. II. XPRIMNTA Ultrsonic interferometer model F-81 of fixed frequency 2 MHz hving ccurcy.03% nd hydrosttic plunger method hving ccurcy.05% were used for mesurement of ultrsonic velocity nd density of different percentge of volume concentrtion of kerosene from 5%, 10%,-----,95% in gsoline t different tempertures. The clibrtion of the pprtus ws done with ir nd deionizer doubledistilled wter. III. RSUT AND DISCUSSION The vlues of excess ibtic compressibility ( ), excess volume ( V ), excess free length ( f ) nd ultrsonic velocity using different theories hve been clculted using following formule. 11-21 V = M IJSRST17383 Received : 25 Mrch 2018 Accepted : 08 April 2018 Mrch-April-2018 [ (4) 7 : 391-396] 391
