Elapsed time is time that has passed. It can be measured in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. It helps most people to visualize (imagine) a clock when answering questions about seconds, minutes, and hours. A calendar is helpful when you are working with days, weeks, months, or years.
