Implementation Status and Key Decisions NRA has made progress in the beneficiary enrollment and releasing first tranche of housing subsidy. Out of 654,366 eligible beneficiaries, 572,633 (87.50%) beneficiaries are enrolled in the GoN s housing reconstruction program. Of this 567,658 (99.13%) beneficiaries have received the first tranche of the housing subsidy and 129,585 (22.82%) beneficiaries have already started construction of their houses as of October 12, 2017. The progress is more notable in the EHRP supported districts of Dolakha, Dhading and Nuwakot where 177,195 (89.68%) beneficiaries are enrolled of which 175,173 (98.86%) have received the first tranche of the subsidy and 46,422 (26.50%) beneficiaries have started construction of their houses. The National Reconstruction Authority is in the process of outsourcing Socio-Technical Assistance under an initiative titled "Housing Reconstruction Socio-Technical Assistance Teams" or HRT. The Bank supports the idea and hopes that this initiative will not only help in providing much needed technical assistance but would also help the vulnerable as categorized by NRA. NRA has recorded improvement in two critical functions. A Procurement Specialist has been taken on board to look after procurement later matters.
