Filter sizing C o rrect sizing of the filter, having in-line or manifold connections must be based on a total pre s s u re dro p of between 0.8 and.5 bar. For styles with reverse flow valves, reversible flow, and duplex filters, the total pre s s u r e drop can be between.5 and bar. The pre s s u re drop calculation is per f o rmed by adding together the value for the housing and the value for the filter element. The pre s s u r e drop in the housing is pro p o r tional to the fluid density kg/dm. All the graphs in the catalogue are based on a mineral oil with density of 0.86 kg/dm. The filter element pre s s u re drop value is pro p o r t i o n a l to viscosity mm /s (cst), the Y values in the catalogue a r e re f e r red to viscosity of 0 mm /s (cst).
