Participation and information sharing at seminars with RT07, Bruce County Tourism Regular communication with Town Council and Staff
17 WRC Future Priorities Fill vacant storefronts (top priorities are destination food and accommodation). Source various financing and other incentives. Market investment opportunities. Working toward critical mass required for successful downtowns ---10/10/10 rule i.e. 10 places that sell food, 10 destination retail shops, 10 places that are open after 6:00 p.m. Develop, package and promote basecamp signature experiences and itineraries. Continue with streetscape improvements including: parking, pedestrian, washroom and perpendicular signage; benches, trees and planters; and attention to 70/80/70 rule. (70% of sales are influenced by the attractiveness of your downtown, 80% of customers are women, and 70 % of customers shop after 6 at night.) Support residential development.
