Thunderstorm Tornado Warm Front A storm that produces lightning and thunder and sometimes hail, violent winds, and tornadoes. A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air known as a vortex that has reached the ground. A warm air mass collides cold air mass. The warm air mass moves over the cold air mass.
