2 Welcome and Introduction Welcome to the Copernicus User Uptake Awareness and Training Event Afonso Nunes Space Team CGI UK
3 Event Objectives From this event we hope that you will learn: the purpose, capabilities and applications of Copernicus that Copernicus can bring real benefits, including economic benefits for user organisations the components of a typical Copernicus application how to get more information and support And that you will: Consider seriously, in your policy- and decision-making, monitoring and evaluation, the possibilities for use of Copernicus data and services.
4 Copernicus User Uptake Project This event is part of a project for the European Commission, DG-ENTR, Copernicus Unit The aim of the project is to increase awareness and uptake of Copernicus This awareness and training event is the second of three planned events around Europe The project has also developed several user uptake test cases, some of which will be presented today.
5 The Project Team The project is led by CGI in the UK Our project team combines service providers from industry and user organisations, each with deep experience and expertise in Copernicus.
