2 A c t i v e a n d h i g h l y e r g o n o m i c s i t t i n g p o s i t i o n VELA Salsa is designed for home or office use. VELA Salsa has four wheels, while VELA Samba, with five wheels, is designed for the situations which opticians, hairdressers, childminders, doctors and nurses etc. experience on a daily basis. Common to both product categories is their ergonomic design and active sitting position and, of course, VELA s well reputed high quality.

3 VELA Salsa active sitting position offering the greatest possible freedom VELA s Salsa range has been specially designed to provide an active sitting position where ergonomics play a central role. The VELA Salsa chair is the perfect solution for people with standing working positions as, in addition to minimising the strain on the lumbar vertebrae, it offers maximum freedom of movement for the arms and head. In addition it helps to provide outstanding lumbar support so that the back is held in an upright position. Another advantage of the chair is that the user can sit closer to the table than with a normal chair, thereby reducing back strain. The VELA Salsa chairs have tilting seats which allow for an even more open hip angle and thereby a better posture. The VELA Salsa has been developed with a view to relieving the back and legs when: n Cooking n Working at height-adjustable tables n Providing therapy/feeding n Working at counters/performing office work Can be adjusted to meet individual needs VELA Salsa is supplied in four models which can each be adjusted to meet the particular wishes and requirements of the user with regard to seat, back, armrest and base: Salsa 100, Salsa 110, Salsa 120. VELA Samba 100 upholstered in skai These models are also available with a five-wheel base in the VELA Samba range named VELA Samba 100, VELA Samba 110 and VELA Samba 120. 4 Q u a l i t y p r o d u c t s VELA Salsa Four-Wheel base A feature of the four-wheel base is the built-in central brake which also ensures complete stability when getting in or out of the chair. With only four wheels, tracking of the chair is easier, when pushed or walked. The turn and lock function makes it easy to turn the seat 90 degrees without having to move the chair. This function can only be activated by using the handle, and to make it as safe as possible the chair is, as standard, always in a locked position. The ample space between the front wheels makes it easy to walk the chair across the floor. The gentle lines of the base protect both legs and footwear. VELA Salsa 110 VELA Salsa 110 This model combines the advantages of an ordinary chair and a standing support as it offers the option of either a standing or a sitting position. The seat has a raised front, which provides extra support and ensures excellent sitting comfort, even in a forward-tilting active position. VELA Salsa 100 VELA Salsa 120 VELA Salsa 100 The seat on this model is more level than on the VELA Salsa 110, and offers good support when working in a standing position. VELA Salsa 120 The option of a forward-tilting seat makes it easy and simple to adjust the VELA Salsa 120 to provide the best possible upright working position. The chair can be set to obtain an almost open hip angle, and therefore offers the user a virtually normal standing position.

5 VELA Samba five wheel base With its Samba range, VELA is offering quite simply the best stools and standing aids on the market. The standing aids, VELA Samba 100 series, have the same design and comfort as the VELA Salsa The only difference is that there are five wheels on the VELA Samba and no brake function. VELA Samba 500 series is particularly well upholstered and is supplied with a very attractive skai material for ease of maintenance. VELA Samba 500 series is supplied in three models n VELA Samba 500 without backrest for shorter sitting periods n VELA Samba 510 with small backrest providing some direct lumbar support n VELA Samba 520 with medium-sized backrest which can be adjusted for height and depth to offer optimum lumbar support VELA Samba 510 VELA Samba 500 VELA Samba 520 Another feature of VELA Samba 500 is the low working height option. The stool can be lowered right down to 35 cm, which makes it particularly suitable for childminders and others who need to work near the floor. VELA Samba 500 is the perfect solution for hospitals, specialist clinics, dental practices and opticians as well as chiropodists and reflexologists. T h e m a r k e t s b e s t s t o o l s

6 E r g o n o m i c a l l y c o r r e c t s i t t i n g p o s i t i o n VELA Samba 400 With VELA Samba 400 s unique saddle design, the pelvis is held in place, thereby achieving an ergonomically correct sitting position. VELA Samba perfectly suited at the workplace This base is a traditional base for office chairs and is therefore ideally suited for people at a workplace. The wheels automatically lock when loaded, preventing the stool from sliding when the user sits down. Alternatively, it is possible to select a stool with slipshoes or wheels adapted to the flooring. VELA SaLSa 400 This stool offers greater stability thanks to its four wheels and, in particular, the brake. Designed for working at the computer, in the office, at school, as a feeding chair, or as a work stool for e.g. district nurses i.e. in any situation where you need to sit correctly.
