They are mounted in cascade on a single frame, and fitted with a SCe-HVAC switch box. 2 FLOSKID JETSON BASIC CONSTRUCTION Main components Material Manifolds Painted steel Base frame Galvanised steel TRANSPORT INSTALLATION Delivery In its standard version, the Floskid will be delivered within weeks of order. Transport The smaller systems are entirely covered in a transparent plastic sack, and are delivered as a single unit on a pallet. For the larger systems, only the vulnerable parts, the pumps and the control cabinet are covered in a transparent plastic sack, and delivered separately (pumps on metal frame on the one hand and manifolds separate), on three pallets. Installation All that needs to be provided are the connections to the intake and output pipes and the connection to the electricity supply. DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT Livraison Mechanical and hydraulic components of the installation The compact installation is mounted on a steel frame with vibration dampers (Item ). This is composed of a group of or electronically regulated in-line pumps (Item ), connected together by an intake manifold (Item ) and an output manifold (Item ). On each pump, a stopcock (Item ) is mounted on the intake and output, and a non-return valve (Item ) is mounted on the output. A flanged joint (Item.) is placed between the stopcock and the non-return valve (see fig. ). A sub-assembly with a differential pressure sensor (Fig., item.) a pressure gauge (Fig., item.) and gate valve (Fig., item.) is mounted on the output manifold. The switch box (Item ) is mounted on the frame on one or two brackets (Item ).All the electrical components are delivered ready-wired.. Electronically-regulated in-line pumps. Sce HVAC Switch box. The regulation value is measured by un sensor and the pumps are controlled according to the load. A transmitter provides the actual value from the measured value of the system by sending a to 0 ma signal. The regulator maintains the constant value of the system by comparing with the set-point, Fig. A) and the actual value. If there is no «External Off» message and no error, the base pump whose speed is being regulated runs at minimum speed. If the power of this pump is not sufficient and the maximum permitted speed, a second pump cuts in if the pressure remains below set-point. This pump takes over control (Fig. B) and the previous lead pump continues to run at maximum. This is repeated with output increasing up to the pump maximum (see Fig. C). If the output falls, the pump being controlled stops when it reaches its minimum permitted speed and if the need remains greater than the set-point. At that point, the previous pump in the cycle takes over the role of lead pump.. Main shut-off: Power on/off of the box. Pre-programmed automaton with microcontroller. Protection of pumps and speed control via circuit-breaker Qm /h BACKUP PUMP To ensure the security of the system, the Floskid has a backup pump. This pump does not take part in the standard regulation cycle. It only comes on if there is a fault on another pump. The optimisation of the running time of the pumps ensures that each pump is used as backup pump in turn. The backup pump is also started up if the test function is activated. The parameters of this function are pre-adjusted in the factory and can only be altered by the SALMSON after-sales service. PERMITTED MODES OF REGULATION CHANGE OF PUMP To allow the pumps to be brought into operation equally, various mechanisms are used for changing pumps. Each time the system is started up anew (after all the pumps have been switched off) the lead pump changes. Also, an automatic changeover of pumps can be activated so that each becomes lead pump in turn.
