Te work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out troug ISO tecnical committees. Eac member body interested in a subject for wic a tecnical committee as been establised as te rigt to be represented on tat committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison wit ISO, also take part in te work. ISO collaborates closely wit te International Electrotecnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotecnical standardization. Te procedures used to develop tis document and tose intended for its furter maintenance are described in te ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1.
