The following packet needs to be finished and ready to be turned the first week of the school year. Please use this packet to make sure you that you understand the information. It is not busy work that just needs to get done. This will ensure that you are ready for the course. Please use any resource that you would like. 10 Factoring. Follow these steps in order to factor polynomials. STEP 1: Look for a GCF in ALL of the terms. a.) If you have one (other than 1) factor it out front. b.) Factor numerator and denominator completely. Cancel any common factors in the top and bottom. If dividing, change divide to multiply and flip the second fraction.
