The confomity (ω~) o lack of confomity in volumetic popeties eflects an undelying similaity o dissimilaity of the effective intemolecula potential govening the inteactions between molecules of a given fluid and the simple spheical ( centic ) inteactions opeative in A. The inteactions between two CH 4 molecule ae nealy spheically symmetic and esemble those between two Xe atoms. This similaity which is eflected in the value of ω of CH 4 being close to zeo.
