We have only one caste. It is said, Yaa devi sarva bhuteshu jaati rupena sansthita All have castes and they are numerous. Goddess has made many castes. One is where the people do not care for God. Discard it. Another one is where they are antagonistic to God. This also be discarded. Third one consists of the people who do not want God and are indulging into wrong type of activities. Let them go. Some more people are such that they are engaged with ritualism in the name of God for a number of lives and continue with it being unable to overcome despite repeated advice. Nevertheless some more people truly search for God. They have pure intelligence in this regard and clear perceptions as to what it means to achieve God. They belong to our caste and can join us. Sahaja Yoga cannot be explained to every person. Special kind of people are necessary to understand Sahaja Yoga. On getting their realization Sahaja Yogis meet all types of people. Some are very affluent. Sahaja Yogis tell me, Shri Mataji they are very rich people. They want to meet you. So, what is further? They say, Please allow us to meet Shri Mataji once. So, what do they want? Nothing, only to meet you. I tell those Sahaja Yogis, Let them wait and see. The Sahaja Yogis cannot understand why Shri Mataji has said so when those people are so rich. They are very rich but are not worthy of meeting me. They have money does not mean they have worthiness too. Another Sahaja Yogis came and said, Shri Mataji he is a big politician. So please meet him. I said, My Namaste to him from a distance. I have no time. And how come Shri Mataji has specially walked in to meet just an ordinary lady. What you see as simple and ordinary I see it as extra-ordinary. What can I do? I will follow my intelligence. Sahaja Yogis also should have the same intelligence. You should not waste your time with useless people. You should approach only those who are searching God and are ready to promptly surrender to his feet. Now you have lit this lamp and so many other lamps at this place. But if you show a lamp to a drunk or a possessed person, he will jump at you. So what is the need to show lamp such to persons. A large number of people exist in the world, who know that they are in dark and genuinely want to meet God. Yet another large number want to meet God because they think that it will be better if they can avail of some material gains, from it. Now I want to tell that material gains will be there, no doubt about it. It is for this reason that today we are performing the Puja to Shri Lakshmi because we want to face and overcome the anti-lakshmi. Without that the anti-lakshmi will not go away from Pune the land of Punyas. What could be the main reason for the anti-lakshmi to stay in Pune? The main reason is that we have to throw out the people who are sitting in all the temples of Shri Hanumana and Shri Ganessha. Sitting there they make money in the name of the deity and put marks on the peoples' foreheads. Shri Mataji this seems to be a difficult job Of course, it is! Countries where such people are active have remained poor, because these people practice the black magic inside the temples. They have no fear for God and unhesitatingly play the black magic in the deity's shrine. When I was at Kolkata seeing the condition over there, I wondered whether Sahaja Yoga would work there. Every person I came across had some Badha or the other.poverty is so appalling, to such an extent, that Kolkata is like a province comprising a number of desolate towns and cities. When 12

13 English Translation (Marathi Talk) asked those people How are you in this condition? Did you go? They answered, Yes, we are Dikshits (or Dikhits as they say) All over the place, all are Dikhits. So, Dikhits are bound to be associated with suffering people. However, it is not possible to tell them that whatever they are doing as Dikhits is wrong. They are all upstarts. It would have been all right if they were only taking money. But activities they indulge into are horrible. These weird acts take place at every shrine! You go to the Jerusalem temple, to the Mecca or the Mahalakshmi's temple. At every place these activities are carried out with which enters in the anti-lakshmi. Shri Lakshmi's ways are such that if a badha arrives from this side Shri Lakshmi departs from the other side. Secondly, it is addiction. Shri Lakshmi will never reside in that house where someone is given in to addiction. It is said that moment a bottle (of liquor) enters from this side, the Bai, ( Shri Lakshmi) leaves from the side. Not just liquor, but a variety of other addictions one takes to. It is true that Sahaja Yoga practice brings about de-addiction. So, if a little effort is made one can overcome all addictions. With addictions it is not just Lakshmi who will go away but also one will not get success in life. Further whatever success the person is having it will be short lived. Soon after Shri Lakshmi has left Shri Rajalakshmi and Shri Gruhalakshmi leave too. If a person takes to an addiction or succumbs to a temptation Shri Lakshmi abandons him. You may light any number of lamps Shri Laksmi will not enter in the house. She can see, so she will stay outside itself. You do hard work to any extent, howsoever you offer the Arti to Shri Lakshmi, and recite the hymns, all will be futile. On the other hand you fill the pockets of those who advise you to do all these things, do this, do that etc and by following them you are reduced to this state. So first thing we should do is to discard all ideas by which we go to such people or take to wrong paths. Now you will say that Shri Lakshmi never stayed in Saint Tukaram's house. You will say that he was not rich. He will not outwardly appear to be rich. All will say so, since he had no ornaments and jewelry. Then how did he have Shri Lakshmi? He possessed no wealth, but to know how rich he was you should read his biography. When Shivaji Maharaj reached to his door steps with ornaments and jewelry Saint Tukaram told him, We are farmers, what will we do with ornaments? You please keep them because you are royal people, you should use them. See how rich he was! Look at a wealthy person around you. He may be highly wealthy but if you offer him an ornament, will he not feel tempted to take it? Show me one wealthy person who will not feel tempted. Leave my case. Others who are tempted, who have set their minds on having this,that are big beggars. The wealthier a person is bigger is he the beggar. They will come running to take their thing left behind although it may be worth a paisa or two. So, who is to decide whether they are rich or poor? So, in Sahaja Yoga, only those who are rich by mind are rich. On the other hand, whichever house is visited, despite their poverty, they welcome with love and say, Shri Mataji all we have is only this much. We have not prepared anything for you. A little Bhakri (Indian bread made of Jowar flour) is only left, kindly have it. How rich it is felt! They offer with love whatever is available in the house and one relishes it. It shows their true affluence to have offered whatever available in the house. If a wealthy man's house is visited, they will first hide half of the things and say, Will you have tea? If you want, you have it otherwise they will take it away. How are they rich? Shabri aboriginal woman gave the berries to Shri Ram to eat and he highly praised them. Did he not have anything else to eat? It shows how rich Shabri was. Shri Ram, Shri Sita and Shri Lakshman came as her guests and respecting her wishes ate those berries that she had tasted (it is never done in India).This kind of opulence is the real affluence. Person can be affluent and live in his regality whether he has money or not. However in Sahaja Yoga this is not allowed. Nobody will take you to Shabri's condition. In Sahaja Yoga Shri Lakshmi shall invariably come. Means absolutely it is Shri Lakshmi who will come. And all shall have the blessings of Shri Lakshmi, no doubt in it. It is not because you are paupers, but because people of the world should see. If they find you poor after joining Sahaja Yoga, nobody will come. So, no doubt you have to be blessed with Shri Lakshmi since it will tempt other people to join Sahaja Yoga. Without that those blinds will not see. Hence Shri Lakshmi has to be bestowed and you 13

14 English Translation (Marathi Talk) shall also have her. As soon as your Nabhi Chakra opens up you can have Shri Lakshmi. At Shri Lakshmi's place in the Nabhi Chakra, the first one is that of Shri Gruhalakshmi. We can say that Saint Tukaram's wife was short tempered. If she had been humble and believed in God Shri Lakshmi would probably have stayed in their home. So, Shri Lakshmi's arrival depends on the state of the Gruhalakshmi. If the Gruhalakshmi is affected by a badha and the husband is bears with it, Shri Lakshmi shall never stay with them. Or if the husband is drunkard and the wife becomes Pativrata (woman who has avowed to serve her husband regardless of his misconduct) serves him liquor, and even parts with her ornaments and the Mangalsutra and thereby pushes him into hell, Shri Lakshmi can never stay in their home. The Gruhalakshmi should be a glorious woman. Seeing her and her life the man should feel that somebody is home and even slightest misbehavior on his part will not be tolerated. In the past men addressed their wives as Maalik( owner) or Sahib due to the awe that the ladies carried. What was it due to? It was not due to shouting and screaming but it was owing to their glory. Her nobility, her maturity, her generosity, her dedication and her service, all these together gave her a kind of glory and character. All these qualities having now gone away, I do not know what name should be given to modern Gruhalakshmi or what she should be compared with. I cannot understand what is in their brains. It is agreed that service should be rendered to the husband, children, in-laws and other members of the family. However, it does not mean that all their dirty behavior, foolish deeds should be accepted or just to please them do anything they want or take to wrong ways. They say, After all he is husband, Shri Mataji! So what? He is husband after all. Is it? Husband and you together I do not say further, but you have understood. The Gruhalakshmi should be like a lotus. The lotus is Shri Gruhalakshmi's place. Always on the water surface, extremely delicate and complete support to Shri Lakshmi. The person should be like lotus. She should be Shri Rajalakshmi. She should not go begging from door to door, Please, give me your sari to wear, for today. Where are you going? I want to show to the people. When the lady has a kind of self esteem and dignity, without false ego or the hide and seek, Shri Rajalakshmi resides in her.( She feels to be so.) You may feel that since it is Shri Lakshmi's puja the lecture is on women, but it is not so. Third is Shri Gajalakshmi. Shri Gajalakshmi means one should be innocent like Shri Ganesha who has his special form and is extremely innocent, despite his sharp intelligence. An elephant can discriminate right and wrong and has Subuddhi i.e.good intelligence means he very bright and his gait is not fast, he will never hurriedly walk. I have seen many women do not walk like woman, but they walk like horse. So much haste, catch this, catch that, run and run. On the other day somebody asked me, Why do small children get blood cancer. I said, Go and see their mothers, they must be always in hurry. Women who are always in haste can never have Shri Gajalakshmi. It does not mean that nothing is to be done, but whatever done has to be skilful and beautiful. Elephant is huge animal but while garlanding Shri Lakshmi he properly holds it in his trunk and gently put it on her neck, without touching her. This delicateness that housewives describe as Sugun, means good quality has to be acquired. Despite having these good qualities, if men do not respect their wives and run after dirty women or give importance to women on road (women of low moral character) or on the other hand, are afraid of their wives who are shrews, Shri Lakshmi never stays in those homes. Also Shri Lakshmi can never reside in those men's homes who ill-treat their wives especially good natured wives. Men think that honor of the family rests with women and men do not have such things. They believe that whichever way they behave, it conforms to Dharma. He does not know that casting an evil eye at others goes against Dharma. Of course this was all before the realization. After joining Sahaja Yoga, you have opposite outlook. Your outlook so changes that ideas that you had in the past or past temptations just do not occur to you. All these Lakshmis are thus awake in you. You may be anywhere, your attention will rise high like flame towards God and never go to the lower level. When you are in 14

Shri Krishna constructed Sudama's house in the gold at Dwaraka, you must b knowing it. You also know that Shri Krishna protected Draupadi's chastity when she was being disrobed. Your lives shall always be full of such miracles. There will be daily new miracles. You will be amazed how those miracles confront you and bless you. These miracles take place only by the grace off Shri Lakshmi. There are various types of blessings. I purchased a sari on the other day for Rs When I showed it to another person he said that the sari should cost minimum Rs in the market. I said, No. I got it for only Rs This is called Shri Lakshmi's grace. Yet another person told me, Shri Mataji, I had no money. I decided to go to Ganapati Pule but how to go there without money was the question. And I received letter, Your this much amount is left balance with us which is returned. This is about money. But there are many more aspects. Suppose you take ill and tell me, Shri Mataji, I am sick and very next day you are all right. In astonishment your doctor asks, How has it happened? I cannot believe as to how it can happen. This is Shri Lakshmi's grace. Shri Krishna says, Yogakshemam vahaamyaham. I take care of your Yoga and the Kshema, i.e. benevolence. The benevolence part of it comes by Shri Mahalakshmi's grace. It is not only financial benevolence. Had it been so and if you were sick, doctor would take all your money. Benevolence takes place from all sides and of all kinds. As the totality of all of it, your Mahalakshmi principle is awakened and the Mahalakshmi principle is the desire to be engrossed in the God Almighty. The Mahalakshmi principle is; with all that you have received you say, Shri Mataji we have received all this and have realized that we have God's blessings and we are now in the God's kingdom. But we feel that we are lacking in something. I ask, What are you lacking in? You say so far we have not shared it with anyone. We are enjoying it alone without sharing it. The Mahalakshmi principle will thus be awakened and in you and will get you in the state of balance. Not in the imbalance. If in this state of balance the lamp flame (Spirit) is enhanced it will settle in the Brahmarandhra and enlighten your whole life. Such great personalities, likes of whom have not so far been born in the world shall come from amongst you. Such alchemists (miracle makers) who are beyond knowledge and imagination shall come from amongst you. But you should never allow your balance to be disturbed. If it is disturbed the love shall scatter here and there and will be destroyed. Hence your lamp flame should open in the state of balance. It must happen. Only then all this shall have its meaning. These loud sounds (of cracker burning ) are announcing that it is going to come about. The whole world is going to resound with it. The drum beats shall make it known to all that a new age is coming into existence. In that age no human being shall have any kind of afflictions, harassment, or resentment. In the Kingdom of God there are miracles and miracles. One cannot stop watching them. One keeps watching those miracles and becomes speechless. Such a beautiful mindset is formed. You all should incessantly enjoy that bliss. It is only with this desire that I have agreed to have this Puja. I hope from today onwards all Sahaja Yogis shall sincerely preserve their Lakshmi Tattwa. The new aspirations emerging from the Lakshmi tattwa shall manifest in the form of the Mahalakshmi principle. Those shall be fully understood, implemented and propagated by Sahaja Yogis while maintaining their complete balanced state. May God make it a very happy Divali to all.
