I have been doing my research under the supervision of Dr. A. Kudravtsev at the department for theory of elementary particles of the Institute for Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP), NRC Kurchatov Institute. 3

4 My research has been focused on the classical theory of field, and the the soliton solutions, in particular, both analytically and with the use of numerical modeling. I have begun with the studying of the soliton solutions of different classical models in (1 + 1)-dimensions. I was interested in the kink collision processes in the (1 + 1)-dimensional ϕ 6 model in the framework of the collective coordinate approximation (CCA). The initial configuration consists of two kinks which are separated by a large distance. CCA assumes the distance being time-depended and then enables us to write down the effective Lagrangian. The time-evaluation of the kinks is given by the solutions of the equation of motion for the CCA Lagrangian. I have analyzed the limits of applicability for this method by comparing the CCA solutions with the numerical results with the same initial conditions. The CCA approximation with one degree of freedom provides, in general, a good description of the kink-kink scattering process at intermediate initial velocities. At low initial velocities the exact dynamics is qualitatively different from the one that is predicted by the CCA. At the same time, the quantitative discrepancies are observed at ultrarelativistic initial velocities (Phys. Rev. D 89 (2014) ). These results are also presented in my Bachelor s thesis. During my Master I have considered ϕ 8 model for different choices of the model parameters, continuing the previous research. I have studied excitation spectra of BPSsaturated (Bogomolny-Prasad-Sommerfield-saturated) topological solutions and its influence on the kink scattering at low energies. I demonstrated that some of these kinks have a vibrational mode in their spectra. Performing a numerical calculation of the kink-kink scattering, it is showed that there are escape windows at some values of initial velocities. In the work the features of these windows and their relation to the resonant energy exchange between the translational and the vibrational excitations of the colliding kinks that are discussed in this work (JHEP 8 (2015) 147; J. Phys.: Conf. Ser. 675 (2016) ). I have also participated in the work on the problem of scalar triplet on the domain wall. The exact analytical solution that describes the domain wall with the localized inner triplet configuration was obtained. This solution allows us to calculate analytically the contributions to the action corresponding to the orientational and translational degrees of freedom of scalar triplet (JHEP 04 (2016) 043; J. Phys.: Conf. Ser. 675 (2016) 01). Finally, I considered numerically the new type of the solution for the ϕ 4 model, based on the kink-like solution and solution in terms of Elliptic functions. Before my work a longlived solutions were obtained in the kink-kink collisions. This phenomenon was called a 4

5 bion (similar to breather in (1+3)). I obtained the new long-lived solutions in the ϕ 4 model with new type of initial conditions. Also I got the new way of forming kink-kink pair and qualitative description of a bion in terms of amplitude of Elliptic functions as a function of time (Phys. Rev. D 95 (2017) ).
