41 The Prior s Field Foundation was created in 2012 to mark the school s 110th year. The charity supports two major purposes at the heart of the school: Foundation Awards The Foundation provides transformational educational opportunities through fully funded bursaries. This extends a long tradition of smaller bursary support at PF; through Foundation Awards the school welcomes girls who could thrive here but need 100% support. Foundation Awards transform life experience and widen future choices for girls who will in turn become role models of achievement through education. We believe that in this way we are helping to raise aspirations at a deeper and wider level. Fabric and Facilities The Foundation supports the renewal of facilities to support excellent learning and helps to provide extra equipment beyond the scope of fees. A new grand piano for use in all school productions and events, and enhanced lighting for the Assembly Hall are current projects. In 2016, the Foundation hopes to help to equip the new Music, Science and Technology building and will be supporting further stages of PF s planned building programme. The Foundation has benefitted from individual generosity and fundraising at events involving the whole school community. We hope you will be interested to hear about the Foundation while your family is at Prior s Field and may consider giving us your support. Each contribution at every level is hugely appreciated and makes a difference. For further information please contact Jenny Schneider in the Foundation Office; she would be delighted to talk to you.
