The varied curriculum is designed to offer training and education in the many fields in which students are interested. Schools arc specialized in the training of students for business, science, art, music and the communicative world of tomorrow. These schools are provided with facilities which enable the student to gain the knowledge which is necessary for the advancement of our civilization. T h e m usic school offers m an y k in d s of tra in in g to th e in terested stu d en t. T he College of Fine Arts offers instruction in both the creative and perform ing arts. Interest hits grown so that now ballet, crafts, and outside classes in oil and water color have been added in addition to the formal courses in Fine Arts.

W hile the rem odeling of the library was being done, M S U students temporarily studied in rooms of the Liberal A rts Building and anxiously awaited the m om ent when they could step into a more pleasant atmosphere for studying. Students have access to almost 200,- 000 volumes and historical docum ents for pleasure reading or reference in study. The library also subscribes to more than 900 periodicals, the current issues of which are keot in the reading room.
