Their task is to produce a constant flow and at the same time pass on the necessary forces. They mainly consist of housing (1), mounting flange (2), drive shaft (3), two bearing blocks (), bearing bush (5) and plates (6) for hydrostatic gap compensation. The gears separating during the rotating movement open the gear chambers. The negative pressure resulting from this as well as the atmospheric pressure acting on the pressure fluid 3 2 Symbols level in the tank causes the pressure fluid to flow to the pump from the tank. This fluid fills the gear chambers and is moved in the direction of the arrow (sectional drawing) from the suction to the pressure side. Here the gears mesh once more and push the pressure fluid out of the gear chambers and prevent the flow from returning to the suction chamber. In order to avoid hard and jumpy running of the pump, small unloading grooves are cut into the sides of the bearing blocks (). 7 Multiple pumps Please note with double pumps the following is of particular importance: Pump I should have a higher load (pressure x flow) than pump II, The individual pump stages of a combination G3 + G3 are separated at the suction side, it is therefore, permissible to have suction from separate tanks, When selecting pump combinations it must be ensured that the sum of the torques does not exceed the permissible values (see page 3, permissible drive shaft and coupling torques), The rotation direction of the pump combination is determined by the front pump (viewed on the shaft end), The rear pump has a reverse direction of rotation, the flow direction however, is the same in front and rear pumps, When ordering the individual pumps of a combination the relevant coupling parts are not included within the scope of supply, The same general parameters apply as with single pumps (see page 2).
