I N F O P A C K ANIMATE TO PARTICIPATE D E C E M B E R W O R C E S T E R, U K
I N F O P A C K A few words about the project F O R W H O M WHAT: Training Course WHEN: 8-17 December 2017 WHERE: Worcester, United Kingdom The proposed project is aimed at any youth work practitioners (youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, facilitators, NGO staff members (especially those engaged in PR), volunteers etc.), interested in developing their skills in the area of animations. A N I M A T E T O P A R T I C I P A T E D E C , U K
WHY Animation is a particularly attractive tool which provides some important opportunities related to NGOs daily work. Not only can it be easily embraced by any type of organisations and individuals, but it can also be used: >> as an educational tool (especially in training or teaching) >> to ensure better dissemination, visibility and promotion of various causes >> as a form of artistic expression (with therapeutic elements), when voicing out ones needs, etc. Animation in general gives all these options and even more, because data can be transmitted in both humorous (comedy style) and the strict way (purely theoretical), whereas the knowledge seeker can be intrigued by the visual stimulus that the tool conveys. This can significantly increase the odds of remembering the facts and, hence, implementing or using them in the future (thus providing optimum results!). The possibilities here are endless. AIM AND OBJECTIVES The main aim of the training course is to develop capacities of youth organisations in the use of animations as the innovative, non-formal education and dissemination tool. This shall be achieved by means of implementing the following objectives: - bringing together participants from around Europe and training them in basics animation techniques - discovering the potential of the available ICT and media tools in launching, testing and implementation of animation in youth work - increasing partner promoters capacity to provide creative and innovative solutions to ensure greater visibility and dissemination of our everyday work. - fostering active participation and development of key competences among members and service users of our organisations. A N I M A T E T O P A R T I C I P A T E D E C , U K
W H Y P A R T I C I P A T E? - increase your knowledge, skills and attitudes related to the use of animations and digital tools in the local/national and international youth work activities - gain (hard) skills developed in the use of animations (stop motion technique) - develop greater awareness of how to use animations as part of DEOR activities or in the educational context - improve your motivation to be an active and yet considerate user of ICT tools - improve confidence and belief in your own creative and innovative potential. Additionally: - develop new international friendships - increase your motivation to use newly gained competences back at home when working with the sending organisations as well as youth and community groups - engage in further ERAMSU+ partnerships aimed at giving upskilling and giving voice (e.g. through creative forms of expression) to those who need it.
F I N A N C I A L A R R A N G E M E N T S The following project is supported by the ERASMUS+ grant.
