3 Resdual Analyss Resduals represent varaton n the data that cannot be explaned by the model. Resdual plots useful for dscoverng patterns, outlers or msspecfcatons of the model. Systematc patterns dscovered may suggest how to reformulate the model. If the resduals exhbt no pattern, then ths s a good ndcaton that the model s approprate for the partcular data. 3
