1 trategic Intermodal ystem Highway onnectors ssessment aytona each Greyhound us erminal onnector Introduction aytona each is a seasonal town with large groups of out-of-towners descending upon the city for various events, most notably for peed weeks in early February when over 2, fans come to attend the season-opening aytona. ther events include the oke Zero race in July, ike Week and spring break in early March, iketoberfest in mid ctober, and the olex 2 Hours of aytona endurance race in January. aytona each Greyhound provides one way and round trip bus transportation services to Jacksonville, rlando, Miami, and other major cities around the state. he bus terminal includes a icket ffice, a Western Union window, ecurity ockers, and a outhern Komfort axi station and the terminal operates from 7: am to 1:3 pm. aytona each Greyhound us erminal onnector as shown in 2-1provides direct access for buses between the subject hub and, a Florida Interstate Highway ystem facility. he bus terminal meets distance criterion as the terminal is located greater than miles from the nearest I hub of the same type, and meets merging I minimum size criteria as the terminal handles, interstate or interregional passengers per year. xisting onditions he connector is a.1-mile segment and traverses U 92 and U 1. and use along the connector is primarily retail and residential as shown in 2-2. outes 9, 1, 11 and are operational on the connector. idewalks are present along U 92 providing walk access from primarily retail facilities to fixed route service. aily evel of ervice ( analysis for the segments of the connector was conducted using F Generalized Quality evel of ervice tables and is summarized in able 2-1. It indicates that segment of U 92 between Williamson oulevard and ill France oulevard is currently operating deficiently. he results of PM peak-hour intersection analysis conducted using YH is shown in able 2-2.
