5 Run this off on orange construction paper and trim. Using an exact knife cut on the window lines making slits on the top, right and bottom. The windows will then open like a door. 6 Run this off on yellow construction paper. After you have cut the window slits of the upper case house, glue it on top of this lowercase one. I used Elmer s glue. Once glued, trim around the yellow edges. They have all sorts of goofy noise making devices at Halloween. 8 Haunted House Upper and Lowercase Matching Game To protect my haunted house, I glued it to a blue sheet of construction paper, then glued it to the inside of a file folder. I taped an envelope to the left side, and keep the laminated lowercase pumpkin cards inside. I glued this sign to the front of the envelope. Students can play this game as an independent center or you can fold the front of the file folder back so that only the uppercase haunted house is showing. Pass out a lowercase pumpkin card to each child. Call out a letter and the child who has that letter comes up, puts the card back in the envelope and then opens the matching uppercase window flap. You can also use this as an interesting and fun way to individually assess a child. Ask them to point to the uppercase letters, and/or find the matching lowercase pumpkin card for whatever uppercase letter you point to. cteachwithme.com
