5 HISTORY AND AIM: The First International Conference on Advanced Concepts in Mechanical Engineering was organized in 2004 by the Mechanical Engineering Faculty from Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi. Subsequently, it was organized every two years, becoming the most significant conference organized by our faculty. The aim of ACME is to create the image of future mechanical systems, to initiate research in new areas bordering various research fields and to promote innovation in all its forms. The event will provide a forum for interaction between researchers and professionals from academia and industry, while promoting interaction between scientists and engineers. The conference will comprise technical and social programs. The technical program will include plenary and regular oral or poster presentations. FEES: - 150, including proceedings and conference dinner one person (+50 per extra paper by the same first author) - 90 for doctoral students and senior and emeritus professors - 50 for accompanying persons DEADLINES: One page abstract submission: February 28th, 2014 Notification of acceptance: March 15th, 2014 Full paper submission: April 30th, 2014 GENERAL INFORMATION: The ACME2014 Conference Proceedings will be published by Trans Tech Publications Inc. (Switzerland) in Applied Mechanics and Materials, indexed by Elsevier: SCOPUS and EI Compendex (CPX), Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), Chemical Abstracts (CA), Google and Google Scholar, ISI (ISTP, CPCI, Web of Science), Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), etc.. In order to be published, at least one author must register for the conference and present the paper. The mandatory number of pages is either 4 or 6 pages, in the format indicated by the publisher (see attachment). A maximum 1-page abstract will be submitted in electronic form, to the appropriate section manager. More information on the conference WEB page:
