4 4 Section 1 Scope of validity 1 Scope of validity (1) Students who begin the course of study in the consecutive Master's program Geodetic Engineering at the University of Bonn after these examination regulations enter into force study according to these examination regulations. (2) The examination organization regulations of the Faculty of Agriculture (POO) in the respective valid version govern the technical and administrative organization of examination procedures in this course of study. Section 2 degree 2 degree Once the Master's examination is passed, the Faculty of Agriculture grants the academic degree Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the course of study Geodetic Engineering. Section 3 Admission requirements and study structure 3 Admission requirements for the course of study (1) The Master's program Geodetic Engineering is oriented towards applicants who provide evidence of a primary university degree qualifying for professional employment in the subject Geodesy or in a related subject. (2) The higher education certificate in accordance with clause 1 must demonstrate the following qualifications: a total of at least 24 from at least two of the following subjects Mathematics, Physics, Programming and a total of at least 48 from at least two of the following six subjects Subject area 1: Physical geodesy, space geodesy, geodynamics, and earth system research Subject area 2: Data analysis, modeling, and computational science in a geoscientific context, Subject area 3: Photogrammetry, remote sensing, computer vision, and robotics, Subject area 4: Geodetic surveying, engineering geodesy, and satellite measurement technology, Subject area 5: Subject area 6: Algorithms, spatial databases, geoinformation, and geoinformation systems, Urban development, land management, real estate valuation, and space management. (3) The mastery of the English language in accordance with a recognized language test at least at the level TOEFL 575 or Internet based TOEFL 90 (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS 6.5 (International English Language Testing System) is required. The Board of Examiners decides upon equivalent evidence.

5 (4) Capacity related admission restrictions (Numerus clausus) remain unaffected. 5 4 Study structure, scope of course, and start of studies (1) The course of study comprises modules 1. from the mandatory selection worth 60, of which 18 are in the general mandatory selection and 42 are in the profile related mandatory selection (24 of which are from project modules); 2. from the elective selection worth 30, and 3. the Master's thesis worth 30. The details for the modules, their admission requirements, and the number of credit points per module are governed by the module plan (appendix). (2) The modules in the profile related mandatory selection (including the project modules) and the modules in the elective selection are assigned to the study profiles Mobile Sensing and Robotics, Geodetic Earth System Science and Data Analysis, or Geoinformation and Spatial Development. (3) At the start of the first, the students must choose one of the study profiles stated in clause 2 as the major profile and one further of these study profiles as the minor profile. The students can only amend this selection once upon written request in the first before completing the first examination in a study profile. (4) In the profile related mandatory selection, the students must Acquire 36 in the major profile; 24 of these are covered by project modules; Acquire 6 in the minor profile. (5) In the elective selection At least 18 and at most 30 are to be acquired in the major profile; Up to 12 can be acquired in the minor profile. (6) The teaching and examination language is English. (7) The course of study can only be commenced in the winter. (8) A vocational internship is recommended to complement the academic education. Section 4 Resitting of examinations and passing of the Master's examination 5 Resitting of examinations (1) Every examination that is not passed or is not considered passed may be retaken a maximum of two times. The resitting of the Master's thesis is governed in 23 clause 7 of POO. (2) The registration to resit an examination that was not passed should take place on the next determined examination date by the student him/herself.

6 6 (3) If an examination in a module from the mandatory selection is assessed as insufficient and there is no further opportunity to resit it in accordance with clause 1, the module and the Master's examination are ultimately not passed. The ultimate failing of the Master's examination results in the loss of the examination claim and leads to unenrollment by the Student Office according to the enforceability of the corresponding decision by the Board of Examiners. (4) If an examination in a module from the elective selection is assessed as insufficient and there is no further opportunity to resit it in accordance with clause 1, the module is ultimately not passed. If a module from the elective selection is not or ultimately not passed, the examinees have the opportunity to select another, as yet not selected module from the elective selection for their major or minor profile as compensation. Such compensation is possible a total of four times. If all compensations have been exhausted without success, the Master's examination is ultimately not passed. The ultimate failing of the Master's examination results in the loss of the examination claim and leads to unenrollment by the Student Office according to the enforceability of the corresponding decision by the Board of Examiners. (5) An examination assessed as at least sufficient cannot be retaken. (6) In modules with examinations that are distributed throughout the and are associated with a class, it is not possible to resit the examination in the same. The module examination can only be discarded in such modules by repeating the entire module. 6 Passing of the Master's examination (1) The Master's examination is passed if all modules required in accordance with 4 clause 1 including the Master's thesis have been passed with at least sufficient and thus 120 have been earned. (2) The Master's examination is ultimately not passed if The examinee has completed the module examination in accordance with 5 clause 3 three times without success; The compensation opportunities for the modules from the elective selection in accordance with 5 clause 4 are exhausted or The retaken Master's thesis has been graded with insufficient.

7 7 Section 5 Entry into force 7 Entry into force and publication These examination regulations enter into force on the day following their publication in the Official Notices of the University of Bonn Announcements. P. Stehle The Dean in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bonn Universitätsprofessor Dr. Peter Stehle Issued based on the ruling of the Faculty Council in the Faculty of Agriculture on July 12, 2017, and the resolution of the rectorate on August 22, Bonn, September 11, 2017 M.
