My expertise in data acquisition and management was sought out for this project. August 1995 to October 1999 Project Leader Location: OAO Technologies, Calgary, AB, Canada Summary: Coordinating and executing a wide variety of projects on a

3 local and national scale, including corporation-wide inventories, negotiating Service Level Agreements, producing documentation of corporate services, client-corporate liaison; also pre-project technical resource consulting, internally for OAO and for external clients including TransAlta Utilities, Motorola Canada and Alliance Pipeline.

4 RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Research Interests: Research interests lie in various aspects of Geographic Information Systems, specifically: Theory and application of temporal GIS and dynamic cartography to develop new mapping environments Land use reconstruction/historical GIS Graphical semiology and cartographic theory Historical geography Web based delivery systems for geographic data Research Assistantships: (Location for all: Dept of Geography, WLU) September to December 2002 Reporting to: Dr. Houston Saunderson Project Summary: extraction of data from paper map for use with GIS and dynamic mapping applications. May2002 to March 2003 Reporting to: Dr. Kevin Hanna Project Summary: research using air photos and regional archive databases to reconstruct and visualize the land use and development history of the Oak Ridges Moraine through a series of maps and posters; part of Dr. Hanna s CMHC-sponsored research. May to August 2002 Reporting to: Dr. Sean Doherty Project Summary: technical research and consulting and hardware evaluation for CHASE project, tracking commuter behaviors. January to April 2002 Reporting to: Dr. Bob Sharpe Project Summary: visualization and cartographic consultation to Schneider Creek Research Group headed by Dr. Sharpe. Creation of instructional posters for GIS student laboratory. September to December 2001 Reporting to: Dr. Bob Sharpe Project Summary: coordination of GIS Day for the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, including volunteer recruitment, timetabling, promotion and liaison with area schools.
