4 Volume 2 - Secondary Plans VOLUME 2 - SECONDARY PLANS Secondary plans provide detailed and community specific guidance to growth and change in smaller geographical areas of the City. They identify more detailed land uses densities, design requirements, infrastructure requirements and other implementing actions appropriate for the community. These Plans are intended to supplement Volume 1 policy directions and land use designations. Secondary plans are adopted as amendments to this Official Plan. The Secondary plans are structured in Volume 2 into two geographic areas - Rural Settlement Areas (for lands in Rural Hamilton) and Secondary Plans Urban (for lands within the Urban Area). Each of these geographic areas is further sub divided by former municipality. September 2013 Vol. 2 1 of 1
