The y will apply the knowledge gained o help them design a new Sports Centre to be sited on land at Princess Park adjacent to the Sovereign Centre. Use research skills to obtain data about what sports and active leisure activities are available across Eastbourne. Use map skills to demonstrate the location of sports facilities across Eastbourne. Suggest and summarise which activities are accessible but not available in the local area. Take careful notes about where the products come from. Use a blank world map to show where all your food from the previous week comes from. Work out how many miles your dinners travelled to reach your plate. Week4 Plan a menu for three course meal with ingredients that can ONLY be found in the South of England. Answer one of these questions in detail Tourism Plan a dream holiday for you and your family. Students will use the knowledge gained in class to plan a dream holiday for their family. They will be expected to demonstrate detailed knowledge of tourism across the globe by justifying their choice of destination. Draw up a list of possible destinations. Define a list of destinations that you could visit / use in a two week period. Plan and cost the holiday for a two week period on an unlimited budget. Investigate and comment upon the environmental impact of your choice of holiday. Re-plan their holiday to maximise its environmental impact or increase its environmental benefits. Provide a power point presentation about their plan and choices ready to be presented to their peers.

Go to the tourist information centre and gather leaflets about what is available in information. Look up the history of Eastbourne online and write the introduction and all about the history of Eastbourne. Chapter 2 write about Eastbourne s location and climate include a map. Chapter 3 write about what attractions and events Eastbourne has to offer people. Include a front cover and some nice photos to show the town at its best. Africa Complete a research project on an African country of your choice. : Rersearch an African County of your choice Research an African County of your choice. Students should choose an African country of their choice and complete a research project. Each week they should complete a section of their project. The following sections need to be included but students can do them in any order they like. 1. Name of country and key information. 2. Physical features 3. Human features 4. History 5. Economics & industry 6. Politics 7. The future River and Coasts Make a model to demonstrate a river process or land form. This piece of work will be the culmination of a year group field trip to the Cuckmere, Beachy Head area. Students will use the knowledge that they have gained in the field to produce a detailed scale model of a geographical structure that they have seen. Summarise Geographical features observed during fieldwork. Choose specific geographical feature and complete a detailed internet screen to envisage its cause and history. /4/5 Construct a detailed scale model of a chosen structure. Annotate the model ready to present it to your peers.
