PAS 128 UTILITY DETECTION AND MAPPING TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEYS UTILITY RECORD SEARCHES AND DESK TOP STUDY SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE SURVEYS GROUND CLEARANCE SURVEYS MEASURED BUILDING SURVEYS LASER SCANNING UAV AERIAL SURVEYS TREE SURVEYS NATIONWIDE COVERAGE 24 HOUR EMERGENCY CALL OUT AVAILABLE
UTILITY DETECTION AND MAPPING Using non-invasive equipment such as Ground Penetrating Radar and Electro- Detection, Cube can locate, trace and map any type of buried utility in any material. This can prove invaluable in the design of schemes as well as fulfilling health and safety obligations to contractors. The results are presented in either a full AutoCad (2D or 3D) drawing and report, or simply marked-out on site. All Cube Surveys are to PAS 128 level B standard. To compliment this service we also offer a full Utility Record Search / Desk Top Study for an additional fee. Established in 2004, Cube has undertaken over 2,000 successful Utility Surveys for a vast array of clients, including major household names in the Construction and House Building Industry, Local and National Government, Major Supermarket Chains, Architects, Schools, Prisons, Private Individuals and Major Consultant Engineering Groups. All Cube staff are Manufacturer trained and carry CSCS cards. Cube are accredited by SMAS in the SSIP scheme.
TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS "Topography" - The shape, configuration, relief, roughness, or three-dimensional characteristics of the earth's surface. "Topographic Survey" - Shows topography together with natural and artificial features such as streams, lakes, buildings, highways, etc. of a specific area. Every topographical survey we carry out can be customized to meet your individual specifications, and the level of survey detail is only restricted by the clients needs. As standard we locate all Topographical features on the site along with levels over the complete site. The most common method for providing an accurate Topographical Survey of terrain is through the use of standard topographic surveying techniques. All topographical survey work is provided to the very highest standard, both drawn and digital, and can be delivered in a variety of formats to either the client or RICS specification, as requested.
SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE SURVEYS The surface water that falls on your Commercial property or School or Golf Club etc. that drains away into a water providers drainage network is calculated by a very much an estimated approach by working out (roughly) the square metreage of hard standing on the property and assuming that all rain water that falls drains into their network. This is how your surface water drainage bill in calculated. By commissioning a Cube Topographic and Water Surface Drainage Survey, we will be able to calculate EXACTLY the area size and what or in many cases what does NOT drain into the network (for example a soakaway or a natural watercourse). The results of our survey can then be presented to your drainage provider and your new (correct) rate calculated. To date, every one of these surveys conducted by Cube has resulted in year-on- year savings into the thousands. Golf Clubs in particular have benefited from this service.
GROUND CLEARANCE SURVEYS If all you need is to make sure where you are digging, drilling or boring is safe and clear of all service routes we can visit the site before you start work, scan the area and make sure you are clear of all obstructions. This "mini" utility survey is carried out like a full utility survey only limited to the target areas. This service is particularly popular with Geophysical site Investigation teams, Archaeologists, Directional Drilling Companies, Fencing Companies and Marquee erectors.
MEASURED BUILDING SURVEYS At Cube Surveys we are dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate Measured Building Surveys including FLOOR PLANS, ELEVATIONS, CROSS SECTION SURVEYS and REFLECTED CEILING PLANS to a wide range of clients. Our measured building surveys provide you with detailed accurate plans to the appropriate scale, quickly and efficiently in order to help you keep to tight schedules. All our measured building survey teams have a wealth of knowledge and are all suitably qualified so that all clients are assured of the quality and service they will receive. All staff hold CSCS cards as standard, as well as a number of other specialist certification depending on their roles. Understanding our clients measured building survey needs is important to our staff to make sure they receive the service they expect. By doing this we can make sure the client is getting the survey they require, on time and within the required budget.
LASER SCANNING Laser Scanners are used for a wide range of High Definition Surveying applications either alongside traditional survey instruments or as an alternative to Total Stations. Using Laser Scanning instruments the surveyor can rapidly collect a large amount of accurate coordinated three dimensional 3D laser points from the surface of remote feature as a point cloud image, providing rapid surveying solutions for inaccessible elements and complex geometrical detail. Once the Scanner has scanned a structure or site to create a high definition survey image it is then processed with modelling software to represent the surface surveyed. The data from the scanned image can then be used for a wide variety of applications including exporting to CAD in 2D or 3D models in wire frame or to other rendering software packages. Topographical Survey Data, Floor Plan data or Elevation data can then be produced from this data.
TREE SURVEYS We offer expert tree surveys for planning applications, tree condition and assessment of root damage potential. We offer an excellent level of service, professional advice and have years of industry experience. Our expert arbourculturist can assist you whether you are an architect, planner, developer, landscape architect, property owner or anyone that requires a tree survey. We can provide a range of services which are listed below: All local authorities have policies that protect trees in your area. Any time you are developing existing buildings or on land proximate to trees, a tree survey is generally required by your local council s planning office before they will consider your development proposal. This has to be carried out in accordance with BS5837:2012 Trees in relation to design, demolition and construction. The report will comprise of the following: A site visit, A detailed tree report listing species, condition and quality, Statutory tree protection searches, A scaled tree location plan showing Root Protection Areas this is usually shown on a topographical survey or OS digital mapping, Recommendations for any tree works.
UAV AERIAL SURVEYS Our latest service offers you the chance to add quality detailed digital background mapping to your topographic and/ or utility survey. At the end of the topographic / utility survey we can completely record the entire site from the air using our DGI Inspire 1 Pro Drone. This can be added as a separate layer in AutoCad bringing your site information to life with our topographic and utility surveys overlaid in separate layers Giving you literally The Complete Picture. Ideal for site planning and presenting your designs. *In certain places and certain regions of the UK the use of drones is prohibited please contact us for advice if your site is suitable for this service.*
