6 216 IGIC Conference Workshop/Session Ideas Have you recently attended or heard about a GIS Workshop/Seminar/Training/Webinar (including IGIC sessions to repeat) that we should consider for 216? (specify conference, year, session title, speaker - list as many as you like) (19 responses) At the 214 conference, there was an Emergency Management session showing a data tool that was used by a local police force on the east coast to predict crime areas. It was very, very interesting! GIS data resources, New INDOT Coordinate systems Jim Love from Beck's Hybrids did a live UAV mapping flight demo at an Indiana County Surveyors Association continuing ed class at Greenfield last month that was very informative. But that might not be the best place to demo a UAV. The GIS coordinators fall meeting might be though. KAMP quarterly meeting UAV Learning about the use of Story Maps; Use and techniques of ArcGIS Online and the Web Builder application ModelBuilder Workshops, various years, Melissa Brenneman Modelbuilding (GIS Conference 215) NAPSG Foundation training - New State coordinate system - When will it be implemented and what does it mean to the GIS community. (Provided it will be in use within the year) Open-Ended Response The QGIS workshop two years ago was good. I'd like to see another one with more examples of geoprocessing in QGIS environment!
