The updating runs for good, but there are a number of municipalities that have flaws. See red mark below. 2 Lantmäteriet v The Dwelling register The Dwelling registry currently contains 5.2 million object A proposal to develop housing registry law to also manage the update and storage issues for municipalities, have been decided by parliament in April The amendment will come into effect in The Swedish address standard Revision of the standard has been done in October 2015 and a new version can now be ordered through the Swedish Standard Institute. Ongoing work is now to update the handbook annexed to the standard. The Swedish technical committee for location addresses (SIS TK 466) deals with the Swedish standard SS :2007 Geographic information - Location Addresses. The Committee works to provide the makers of address and other users with guidelines and recommendations for how different location addresses should be designed and create conditions for different organizations to exchange and use address data in a secure, clear and rational manner. 4. Service-Based solution for updating Twenty municipalities now use a Service-Based solution to update the building- and address register.

3 Lantmäteriet v There is currently three system supplier which offers a service based solution to their municipalities right now, but more to come. 5. Current projects 5.1. Swedish geoprocess

4 Lantmäteriet v Swedish geoprocess is a collaboration project between Swedish municipalities and Lantmäteriet which aims to simplify the use of Geodata for so many of society's stakeholders as possible. Uniform Geodata specifications provides increased opportunities to costeffectively collaborate and exchange Geodata between municipalities, authorities and citizens. Swedish geoprocess has developed data product specifications for nine priority Geodata themes. In each theme's mandate is to develop processes which describes a cohesive effective collaboration on the collection, storage and supply - between municipalities, between municipalities and the National Land Survey and / or other authority. For each topic also describes the requirements of new economic conditions for the parties involved in collaboration processes Address Theme The Address theme has developed proposals for a new object "Point of Interest" and a new solution for connecting addresses to 3D properties. The proposal also says that addresses should be listed on Swedish and also in the minority languages Sami, Meänkieli and Finnish. 6. National cooperation activities The number of participants in Geodatasamverkan (Geodata Cooperation) is still growing. The agencies that both deliver and receive information are 38 while agencies that only receive information are of total 290 municipalities have now joined this agreement.

5 Lantmäteriet v Open data We are actively working to a greater extent to make maps and geographic information available as open data. The data that is opened is freely available and free to use. Today, we are obliged to charge fees to those who want to use products from our range of maps, geographic information and property information - what we collectively call for geodata. Our hope is that we will get a new funding model that makes it possible to abolish fees and limiting conditions of use. The goal is to release all the map information and geographic information such as aerial photographs and more elevation data. When it comes to real estate information we have sights set on releasing addresses free for use. Although the funding issue is not yet resolved in the long term, we have now taken the first steps toward releasing our map data free for use without charges and restrictive conditions. In 2015 we released the smallscale maps and positioning services. The focus ahead will be to continue to describe the social benefits of enabling more open data and continue to influence decision-makers to change Lantmäteriets funding. 8. Blue-Light Lantmäteriet has taken the initiative to continued collaboration to develop a Blue Light Map - with the addresses and map information from Lantmäteriet combined with information about the roads and railways from the Swedish Transport Administration's road data.

6 Lantmäteriet v The aim is to facilitate for the emergency operator to choose a better common map support to "find the right way" and thus increase the possibilities of cooperation in communicating about the same, common map with the current data. We continue to work around the idea of "Blue Light certification" to provide municipalities the opportunity to assure the quality of their Geodata processes. "Blue light certification" includes information on addresses, buildings, structures, names of places, roads and railways as part of cooperation with Lantmäteriet and the Swedish Transport Agency. The purpose of the requirements is that Geodata should be current, complete and correct. It's all about quick update when new data needs to be recorded but also of existing information corrected or removed when necessary. It requires that you have an eye on their processes and know who does what and when. These include also that it has an appropriate name and address International activities During , Lantmäteriet has participated in a project in Georgia. Efforts have been about helping to define and document collection processes and to create addresses in rural areas. 10. News from municipalities Attefallshus Anyone who has a one- or two-family houses on their property may also built a so-called Attefallshus of maximum of 25 m². Planning permission is not required, but you have to make a report to the Planning Committee and get a start statement. Attefallshuset can be used as a separate dwelling, guest house, storage room or garage, etc. and may therefore in many cases need an address. Normally does not advent of an additional housing in the form of Attefallshus any problems regarding addressing. However, there can sometimes be a little problematic in several new sites intended for singlefamily as detailed, in the end, consists of a semi-detached + Attefallshus.

7 Lantmäteriet v It is allowed in Sweden that without a building permit further decorate a one-family houses. It has been granted planning permission for the construction of single family homes, which in practice is semi-detached house with double kitchen and bathroom, but with a connection between the apartments in the ground floor. When planning permission was granted, closes the opening between the apartments and suddenly you have a two-family (semi-detached) house. In Södertälje, we now have some of these buildings with three dwellings (semi-detached + Attefallshus) with tenants instead of a one-family houses, which concerned the zoning plan Rondeller In Södertälje there are currently several municipal roundabouts. It has become very common with roundabouts, both large and small. For several years the municipality has been thinking about names for these roundabouts, which in itself is point-shaped objects and basically an address location. The advantage of this naming is that it becomes clearer what roundabout referred to for example in a traffic accident. A major road may well have several roundabouts and then it may be appropriate to distinguish between these by name. So far, no roundabouts named, but the proposals are coming. A named roundabout should also be rebranded at all entrances to the roundabout, which is in itself an additional cost.
