The following conclusions may be drawn based on the results of this study. (1) The atrazine multiple regression adsorption model(at- MRAM) was developed to estimate the relative contributions of the components in the SSs(NSCSs) to the adsorption of AT with the confidence level above 99% and the relative deviations less than 15% through verification atrazine adsorption experiments. (2) Interactions among the non-residual components(fe, Mn, OMs) in the SSs(NSCSs) play important roles in controlling the mobility of atrazine in aquatic environments, and Fe and OMs facilitate the adsorption of atrazine and the adsorption capacities of atrazine on a mass base follow the order of Γ Fe >Γ OMs >Γ Fe/OMs based on the AT-MRAM; meanwhile, the total maximum adsorption of atrazine is in inverse ratio with the content of Mn, and the interactions of Mn with other non-residual components (Fe/Mn or Fe/Mn/OMs) disserve the adsorption of AT. Further studies with more thermodynamic adsorption data of AT onto SSs(NSCSs) should be carried out for a better evaluation of the distribution of AT in aquatic environments.
