1 =ICMES2018= Report Recommendations Testimonies The second International Conference on Materials Science and Environment ICMES'18 was organized by Mohammed Premier University, Faculty of Sciences and the Association: Moroccan CenterforDevelopmentandScience(CEMADES),26,27and28April2018inSaidia:thebluepearl of the Mediterranean under the theme New materials for sustainable energy development. FollowingthesuccessofthefirsteditionorganizedinDecember2016andaspartofthepromotion ofscientifictourism,icmes2018hasinvitedinternationallyrenownedresearchers,moroccansliving abroadandradiantintheirhostsociety. Morethan350participantsrepresenting30countriesfromallcontinentswereselectedfrommore than 1,000 applications. SubSSaharan Africans and Maghrebians were at Scientific RendezSvous alongsideeuropeanresearchers,canada,middleeastandjapan.itisascientificplatformtobring together multidisciplinary researchers and industrialists from around the world to expose and discuss the latest discoveries on Materials and their applications in environmental protection for sustainableandefficientdevelopment. Fivethemesontheagendaofthisscientificevent:energyandrenewableenergies,environmental sciencesandsustainabledevelopment,fromplanttobiotechnologyandelectricalengineering.our objective is to bring together researchers from different countries in order to pool their expertise 1

2 and their respective work in order to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge and to stimulatedebatesandadvancesaroundthemesandobjectsofinterest. Morethan20Speakerspresentedtheirrecentwork.Wecite:Prof.HirokiOshioofJapan,visiting professoratseveraljapaneseandamericanuniversitiesformorethanthirtyyearsinauguratedthis great event in Eastern Morocco by discussing the bilateral stability of simple molecule bilateral nuclearcomplexes. Mr. Badr, Director of the Research Institute on Solar Energy and New Energies SIRESENS Rabat presentsonmorocco'sstrategyinnewenergiesinthecurrentandfutureyearsasareferencein Africainthisfield.ProfessorNoureddineChihiboftheUniversityofLillespecialistinbacterialbiofilm hastheactiononthecontaminationsthatcantakeplaceinthefieldofagribusinessandprecautions to take. Professor Mama Elrhazi, FST, Mohammadia, President of the Moroccan Association of AnalyticalChemistryandPresidentoftheFederationofAfricanSocietiesofChemistryandmember 2

3 of the Union of Arab Chemists, presented the latest developments in conductive polymers based nano,carbonornanoparticlesofmetalandtheapplicationintheanalyticfield, ProfessorTaibiBenHaddafromtheFacultyofSciencesOujda,gaveanoverviewonanewmethod ofpredictingthetherapeuticactivitiesofmoleculesinrelationtotheirmoleculararchitecture.this recent theme is the result of a scientific collaboration in Indian, Pakistani, Saudi and American researchers. 3

4 Prof.YannGarciafromBelgiumandProf.KamalBoukheddadenfromtheUniversityofParisspoke abouttemperaturesensors,pressuresensorsandtheopportunitytoexploitnanomaterialchemicals inindustry.professorahmedmazzah,lillefranceandalsoinvitedprofessortogermany,canada and Saudi Arabia: the chemistry of PhosphazeneSbased organic materials and the multitude of industrialapplications.prof.oguzieemeka,nigeriagaveaconferenceonnaturalplantsasanew alternativefortheprotectionofmetals. 4

5 ProfessorMohammadSiaj,Canadahasextensiveexperienceindifferentareasofgraphenescience. ProfessorAbdulRazakDouhalattheUniversityofToledo,Spain,whobelongstotheAhmedZewail team S Nobel Prize in Chemistry in He works on perovskitesbased solar cells using various highsspeedspectroscopytechniquesandsinglemoleculemicroscopy. ProfessorLutzTietzeofGermanydistinguishedfromhisresearch,whichapproximatesfivehundred and 38 patents and 6 books, also received the prestigious Gold Medal of the German Society of Chemistry. His scientific research focuses on the development of selective and synthetic methods using domino interactions and the development of selective antiscancer agents using monoclonal antibodies. 5

6 ProfessorMouradErrasfafromtheFacultyofMedicineandPharmacyofFez,formerresearcherof Harvard University, Boston and New York University, gave a lecture about the Moroccan flagship productparexcellencedarganoilanditsroleinalternativegreenmedicine.professormohammed EddaoudioftheUniversityofFloridaandKingAbdullah'sUniversityofTechnicalSciencesinJeddah, SaudiArabia,willalsobepresent.Heisoneofthemostcitedresearchersintheworldinrecent years2014s2017becauseofthequalityofhisresearch. 6

7 ProfessorCharafJama,Lillespecializesincoldplasmaprocessestomodifythesurfaceofmaterials. AndProf.AminAfilal,Oujda,specializedintheconversionofwasteintoelectricalenergy.Thelast ConferencewasonScientificCollaborationandthecontributionofMoroccansabroadinrelationto thesustainabledevelopmentofourcountry. ItisMr.BrahimElOuadi,emeritusprofessorcomingfromtheUniversityofLaRochellewhoisdoing acollectionofdatatoboosttheconcreteforaparticipativeapproach.icmes2018isalsoattended bysolhifaisalalsshaateet,presidentoftheyarmoukuniversityoftechnology,jordan,andprof. AhmadEldouhaibioftheLebaneseUniversityinTripoli,andProf.MoussaAlNouaimi,Jordanand Dr. Asmaa Chbani of the Lebanese University. The official session was chaired by Professor MohammedBenkaddour,PresidentofMohamedPremierUniversity,Oujda,Dr.FaridBentaha,Vice PresidentoftheProvincialCouncilofBerkaneandthePashaoftheCityofSaidiaonFridayevening. ThePresidentwelcomedparticipantsandspeakersandsignedacooperationagreementwithAkaba UniversityinJordanwithhiscolleagueProfessorSolhiFayssalAlSShahateet. 7

8 HethenpresentedtheMohammedFirstUniversityTrophiestoalltheSpeakers as well as to the PresidentofAlAkabaUniversityandProfessorRachidSalghi,OujdalaureateandViceDirectorof ENSAattheUniversityofIbnZohr,AgadirforhisGoldMedalAwardinSouthKoreaattheMeeting oftheinventioninnovember2018onhismoroccanpatent,ontheresearchworksubmittedbyhim and the Oujda teams and Reimsd The members of the ICMES Organizing Committee were also decoratedonthisoccasion. In addition to these Plenary Conferences, about 150 researchers presented oral communications and150researchersthroughposters.thescientificcommitteeisunderstudytopublishmorethan 100scientificarticlesinanElsevier/ScopusJournaldandtheabstractswillbepublishedinanISBN Book recognized by the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat. 13 Recommendations Participants confirmed the conclusion of the 2nd International Conference on Materials and EnvironmentalScienceConferenceorganizedbyMohammedPremierUniversity,FacultyofScience, OujdaMoroccoandtheAssociation:MoroccanCenterforSciencesDevelopmentSMoCeDeS,withthe participation of 350 participants from 30 Arab and Western states, lasting three days, the importance of broad participation in applied and environmental research in Arab conferences SpecializinginchemistryTheparticipantsrecommendedthattheroleoftheArabLeagueFederation should be operationalized and coordinated with the Arab conferences, with a view to exchange experiences among Arab scientists and to forging closer links among them and world scientists. Theyalsorecommendedtheimportanceofholdingconferences,symposiumsandworkshopsonthe use of modern techniques and methods in teaching chemistry, and the possibility of holding a conference in areas specializing in chemistry, encouraging Arab scientists to participate in conferences organized by Arab universities. Participants also recommended that a database of participantsandorganizersofarabconferencesshouldbebuiltforreferenceatfutureconferences, therebycontributingtothedevelopmentandexchangeofexperiencesintheareaofinternational conferences.oneofthemostimportantrecommendationsoftheconferencewasapaneldiscussion onthethemeofthecontributionofchemistrytotheeconomy,andencouragethepostgraduate studentsinuniversitiesandalumniandstudentsoftheuniversitytosubmittheirresearchactivity andtocollaborateinthefieldofdevelopmentofnewandinnovativeapproachesinmaterialsand their applications in energy and renewable energy, environmental science and sustainable development,biotechnologyandelectricalengineering.
